The Pageantry of the Tang Dynasty Show
In May 2007, China Odyssey Tours customers, Focaccia Gianfranco and his friends took a tour across China. Being avid fans of video making, they took over two hours worth of videos. They said that they enjoyed their trip so much that they wanted to give a copy to China Odyssey Tours and we were welcome to use it on our website. Since it is so long we have decided to cut it into small pieces to offer our customers a firsthand look of what China has to offer.
This video shows a very popular performance in Xian. The performance is called the Tang Dynasty Show. The performance showcases the art and pageantry of China’s ancient Tang Dynasty (618-907), which was one of China’s most prosperous dynasties. The performance features music and dancing by performers in colorful Tang Dynasty styled costumes. Audience members can watch the dancer’s graceful movements while soft music is played. The clothing of the Tang Dynasty dancers was designed for flowing movement. Watching the Tang Dynasty Show is a wonderful experience. It offers customers a glimpse back into China’s ancient Tang Dynasty.

A Cruise down the Shennong Stream – A Wonderful and Romantic Trip
The Shennong Stream excursion on a Yangtze River cruise is one of the most beautiful and unforgettable ones visitors can take. Surrounded by verdant mountains, this clear stream looks like a fairyland with misty clouds hugging the tops of the mountains, abundant bamboo and wildlife living in their sides, and ancient hanging coffins hidden in the cliffs. Giant Panda Tour – Discovering the Giant Pandas and Other Endangered Species
China's giant pandas are considered living national treasures and are loved by not only Chinese people, but by people from around the world. In Chengdu, there are two centers dedicated to the preservation of this amazing animal. The Wolong National Nature Reserve has dedicated itself to the protection of forest ecosystems and precious wildlife like the giant pandas and the lesser panda. Besides the giant pandas on display, this reserve has approximately 100 pandas living in the wild. In this beautiful reserve, visitors can take more than just a sightseeing tour they can also witness the unique cultural aspects of the local ethnic minority groups. At the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, visitors can have their photos taken while holding the adorable Giant Panda cubs. These two centers are not only an ideal paradise for wildlife, but also the perfect places for visitors to go see these adorable creatures, relax together, and learn more about the world around them.

Yangtze Cruise – the spectacular tour with unforgettable memories

Yunnan in Southwest China - an ideal place for cycling and hiking
In July 2005, during the ethnic tour in Yunnan, the guide fell off the bike and unluckily got hurt. As the group ascended the mountain, she had to hire a sedan chair to carry her up. Our guests felt sorry for her, but they were also excited to have such a precious opportunity to play a ‘sedan-chair' game and try their skills!

Guillin Cycling Part 1 - Doing morning exercises with middle school students
In October 2006, China Odyssey customers from England took an interesting countryside cycling excursion to the Gongcheng County, 108 kilometers southeast of Guilin.
They paid a visit to a local middle school and joined the students doing morning exercises in field. What a memory!

Guilin Cycling Part 2 – A good time together with the kids
After the healthy morning exercises, China Odyssey customers and the students enjoyed relaxing conversations and even sang songs together.
