2008 Summer China Tours (Olympic Tours)

In August, the 2008 Olympics were held in China's capital Beijing. Although normally Beijing is a must-visit site on any visitor's itinerary, this summer it might be better to discover what other amazing destinations China has available. Because of the Olympics, most hotel rooms have been sold out well in advance, Beijing's most famous sites have already announced that they will limit the number of tickets sold each day, and most other places will be too crowded to truly enjoy. Because of these reasons we recommend that visitors do not travel to Beijing this summer. This, however, does not mean you should not visit China. This year, in fact, is an ideal time to visit. Because of the Olympics, most of the attention will be on Beijing leaving most of the other unforgettable destinations around the country open and less crowded making visits to them even more enjoyable than before.

Although Beijing is not the best place to visit during the Olympic Games, it is the ideal place to visit after the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Because of the Olympics, Beijing has received a major facelift and many must-see destinations have been renovated or restored. The many new luxury hotels that have sprung up across Beijing will be available to post Olympic visitors and the hotels that were in Beijing before the games were all renovated making visitors' stays in Beijing even more comfortable. Due to the Olympics coming to Beijing, the whole city has become more visitor-friendly. Taxi drivers, restaurant workers, and most Beijingers have learned some English, and almost all of the signs in the city have had English translations put on them making getting around easier than ever before.

This is an amazing time for China and a perfect time to visit this amazing and ancient country. The Chinese people are very proud of the fact that the 2008 Olympics are being held in Beijing and warmly welcome visitors from abroad to see what China has to offer.

Unforgettable Destinations

Because of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, visiting Beijing in August of this year is rather difficult. Most hotel rooms have been sold out for months, and many of the city's other attractions will be so filled with visitors that visiting them will not be as enjoyable as normal. It is recommended that visitors interested in visiting China go to the many other wonderful destinations China has to offer: GuilinXianShanghaiHuangshan, and Yunnan.

Post Olympic Tour

At the end of August, the 29th Olympiad held in Beijing will be over and the crowds of people will go on to their next destination. It will be an ideal time for visitors to travel to Beijing and throughout China. Because of the Olympics, many parts of Beijing have been upgraded and many must-see destinations have been renovated or restored and the many new luxury hotels that have sprung up across Beijing will be available to post Olympic visitors. We have many tour packages available that will include Beijing as well as China's most popular sites. Cities like Xian, Guilin, Shanghai, and Qingdao, another Olympic Venue, should not be missed.

The Coastal City of Qingdao

Qingdao a beautiful coastal port city located in Shandong Province is unique for many reasons.
