Ciao Wanda,

I am very happy with my trip, people I know, places I have visited, images that are imprinted in my mind, the opportunity to see China (... although a little small piece) in a moment extraordinary change and growth and how it happens many incongruities but still preserving its identity.

A travel, though short, which made me realize so much, that got me thinking and as such exciting for me!

The guide I had in Beijing, Ryan, is an extraordinary person, by gentleness, sensitivity and preparedness, visit the city with him was like going around with a true friend. With me was really a lot of patience (I am a disaster in English).

Hi Wanda,

The magnificent Meili Snow Mountain

I just want to Thank-you and tell you how wonderful everything went and how happy I was with China Odyssey Tours.

The guides were prompt, knowledgeable and extra attentive. The girls seem to be more nurturing, but the men were 5+ also. Almost everything went off without a hitch. I wish it wasn't so hot, hot, hot, but that wasn't your fault!

Most of the hotels were great, especially the Peninsula, Sofitel and Mandarin. The only hotel I would not use again is the Gauford? (Liljiang) This hotel seemed liked a has-been. Not awful, but could use improvements.

All in all, everything was fantastic and I really enjoyed all aspects of the trip. It is amazing how far and modern China has become in the last ten years. I know there is a comment form somewhere and eventually I will fill it out. I just wanted you to know that the trip excelled my expectations.

Please use me as a reference. It will be glowing. Also, several of my friends are interested in the future. I passed along a lot of information, including your name, so I hope some contact you.

Mae and I want to thank you for all the detailed attention and planning you and your local tour guides provided to our group during our just concluded tour of China. We will be more than happy to recommend you to our friends and family for future trips to China. As a matter of fact, on the day of our return to the US, our brother-in-law John Soho, who was part of our traveling foursome, talked to one of his friends who is planning a China trip this summer and spoke highly of your tour company and forwarded your contact information to his friend. Perhaps he may have already contacted you.

We do have a request that hopefully, you will be able to assist us. All four of us are members of the airline's frequent flyer club, who, in turn, are part of the SkyTeam and Star Alliance teams. We noticed that several of the Chinese airlines we flew also belong to either SkyTeam or Star Alliance and would like to receive mileage credit for flying on their airlines. In contacting both SkyTeam and Star Alliance, they require that a copy of the ticket receipt be submitted before credit is granted. Is it possible for you to get us copies of the e-ticket receipts for the China flights we took? Thank you.

Hi Wanda,

Thank you for your email.

We had a great trip to China. Thank you for the organisation in each place we stayed.

We enjoyed Guangzhou, going to the temple and hall, even though the hotel was very basic. The location of the hotel was excellent though, great for shopping in the evening.

Guilin was beautiful, everything went really well even though the weather was not so good. The hotel on the first night, the osmathus hotel, we had to ask Paul, the tourist guide, to change our rooms as there was damp visible on the walls and the rooms smelt really bad. Once the rooms were swapped over and everything was fine.Paul was our favourite tourist guide out of the 3 that we had, he made the children laugh with his jokes and was always recommending other/extra things for us to do.

Overall, we have fond memories of our trip to China and if coming again would definately send you an email to get a quote from you.

Hi wanda,

Thank you for the wonderful Christmas message from you and the China Odyssey tours. My husband and I want to know if you are in the picture and where are you in the picture. Thank you so much for the trip, it was very good except the train ride. But it was all good for us to meet challenges. We have so many pictures and I will send you some together with our 3 wonderful tour guides, Grace, May and Danny. We love them all and miss them too. The only regret we had was to have lunch or dinner with them. We invited them to eat with us but they told us that their not allowed and we respect that. Our favorite place was Hangzhou .If we will go back to China, we will go back to Hangzhuo.Have a great day and love to hear from you again.

Dear Wanda

Our trip in China comes to end. Unfortunately it was shadowed by this dramatic earthquake in Sitschuan. It is a very sad and we have donated some money to the Chinese Red Cross organisation.

Despite this sad event, we will leave China with a lot of wonderful and positive thoughts. We have very much enjoyed our stay here and would surely come back. At this place I would like to thank you for the perfect organisation of our trip and the efficient change of itinerary. We will definitively recommend you and your company to our friends!

I bet you think that I forgot all about you and my promise to send you pictures of our trip. I didn't forget, just have been busy with work and sorting through the 2700 pictures.

Attached to this email is a narrative that I wrote to accompany the pictures. The highlight pictures of our trip, 60 in number, will be sent in 6 separate emails because they are too large to send together over the internet. All of the pictures have titles and are numbered from 1-60.

You and China Odyssey may use the narrative and pictures. I do ask that our last names and exact address not be published.

Linda and I both want to express our thanks for the effort that you and China Odyssey expended on our behalf. The outstanding vacation that we had could not have been possible without your dedication to ensuring our happiness. The tour through China was truly magnificent and the experience of a lifetime. The guides that you arranged for us provided service beyond our expectations. We would like to go to China again, we missed so much and want to revisit some of our favorite places. Hopefully we will be able to do that some time soon.

We had a wonderful time in China, it truly was a spectacular journey that we will long remember. Our memorary will be greatly aided by the 2,727 pictures that we took. I have culled that number to some 800 that we are in the process of putting titles on and then will post on the internet for all to enjoy.

Please convey our thanks and appreciation to those guides that we highly recommended. Also, your management should recognize the tremendous effort that you expended on our behalf. Planning and coordinating a trip of 37 is not easy but you rose to the challenge and put together an exciting and wonderful tour for us. If you would like me to write to them and provide more examples of your service I will be happy to do so.

I just want to say hello and thank you so much for the arrangements during our trip in China . Your colleague Ms Wanda Tang was really great and helpful.

Our trip that included Tibet and Lhasa , the Yangtze River , Xian , bicycling close to Kunming and Shanghai was a long and sometimes exhausting trip. But everyone we met during our three weeks in China helped us really great. Actually we have nothing to complain about.

I have sent pictures from our trip to Wanda that you can use on your website if you prefer to do so.

So once again , Wanda did an excellent job for us and we will recommend Chinaoddyseytours for others in the future.

Hi Wanda,

Congratulations to you and your firm for organising such a wonderful trip for us in China. John and I have enjoyed our holiday very much. Your team of guides and drivers have made our stay an interesting and exciting time. They couldn't do enough for us and all of them went out of their way to make sure that we had the best experiences in each of the three areas we visited. We have enjoyed their company very much.

We have learnt so much about your wonderful history and seen so many amazing

places in our few days here. The other activities, visits to the factories etc. have been so interesting. The performances that we have attended have been stunning, costumes, stage sets and the actual performances were brilliant.

Thank you Wanda for all that you have done for us too in making sure that all the arrangements flowed together seamlessly. Everything went according to plan and exceeded our expectations.

We will certainly be recommending your holidays to our friends and aquaintences. We would take a tour with your company again and hope one day that we can do so.

Hello Wanda

I wish to thank you and your staff for a wonderful visit to Guilin. The tour guide, Stephanie, has a excellent use of English and she was easy for us to understand. She was also very sensitive to our interests and we are pleased that she arranged the visit to the art gallery.

Our driver Mr Liao was very courteous and helpful, and we felt very safe with his driving.

We very much enjoy all parts of our sightseeing in your wonderful city. The only suggestion for improvement would be the selection of hotels. We feel that the New Century hotel beds were so hard that it was not possible to get a good sleep and this hotel would not be good for future America visitors.

Sorry for the delay!

We had much to catch up with after such a wonderful holiday.

I am sorry for this late reply as after the tour in China, we went on another tour within the USA and just came back home recently.

My husband and I wish to thank you and your staff for taking care of us during our trip to China. You all made our trip very enjoyable and we will certainly recommend you to our friends. As a matter of fact, we have already told many of our friends about our good experiences with your agency's services. A lot of them are interested in travelling to China but do not want to join the big group tours. They prefer to have their own little group tours organized. I will pass them your website and email address for them to contact you directly.

In the meantime, if you have any interesting programs for the coming Olympics, please let me know. We are planning to go back to China for the Olympics with a few friends.

Dear Wanda,

Thanks for your note. We really had a very good trip and enjoyed your country enormously; so much so that we want to go back. Regarding the tour, let me tell you that the quality of the guides (Vicky and Wei Wei) was outstanding -you must feel very lucky and proud to have people like them working with you-, and the quality of the hotels was also very satisfactory.

The only note I would like to make is that in order to have been able to take better advantage of the trip according to our interests, I would have prefered to visit old villages nearby Guilin where minorities live, instead of the city tour, had I known we had that alternative.

We had wonderful time in China and the arrangements by China Odyssey were superb. Everything was prompt and the hotels were very nice. The tour guides were very pleasant, those particularly in Xian and Shanghai. The only suggestion we would have is that perhaps we could get an early flight out of Xian to Shanghai rather than wait till lunch, get that extra time in Shanghai.

I would gladly recommend your touring service to my friends.

Hope to come back to China one day.

Dear Wanda

We really enjoyed the cruise! Everything was going smooth, it was well organized and executed. We were also surprised to find a German cruise director on the boat. It's also a good mixture between Chinese and western style, especially the food. As we are leaving to Switzerland in June, I don't think we will book an other trip, but we will tell our friends about the well organized travel office. The only think I was little disappointed was the dam excursion. It's a pity we couldn't walk on the dam and couldn't go into the dam (generator room).

Stew and I got back to Canada, back to our work and have been busy getting caught up ever since. The package that you sent with my identification papers and drivers licence arrived safely a few weeks ago and I wanted to thank you so very much for looking after that for me!

I also wanted to thank you for planning our trip to China. Your company is to be commended for the incredible services they provide for visitors to your beautiful country. The planning was impeccable, the tour guides and the drivers were great and your associated hotels and restaurants provided the best service and the best food! Both Stew and I have been asked to make presentations to various groups in our home community about our trip to China. I have been recommending China Odyssey Tours to everyone that expresses an interest in knowing how we fit so much into our 23 day tour! They can hardly believe that a company like yours exists!
