Vera,
Just a short note to tell you how much I've enjoyed my trip to China and to tell you that the services you've provided were part of this success.
All my guides were knowledgable, speak good english( as good as mine almost) and were very dedicated in making my trip enjoyable. The drivers were perfect and safe as well.
I would not hesitate recommending your services to my friends, I already did to some tourists in Kunming.
Thanks again,

Dearest Sophie,
I am so happy to hear from you.
I miss China. We had such a wonderful trip. It surpassed my expectations. Everything worked out so well. Every time I talk about it, my face lights up with the amazing memories.
I will be glad to send pictures and to write a travelogue for the web site. I was very happy with your company and, of course, with you and all the attention you gave us. Thanks to you, we had a never-to-forget experience.
Most of all, the tour guides made our trip so special. Bevis in Beijing, Mary at the Chengdu Airport, Robin in Guilin, and Matthew in Hong Kong were all so accommodating, especially Bevis and Robin since we had them the longest periods of time.
Again, thank you for making the trip of a lifetime come true!
I would have written sooner, but I had to attend to my father who went into the hospital. I'm bringing him back to his home on Aug. 29th.
All my affection,

Dear Sophie,
I was planning to e-mail you since I returned from my vacation, but due to the jet-lag and unpacking I was not able to do so.Our trip to China was very interesting and we really enjoyed it. It was the caring guides who made our trip enjoyable and worthwhile. All of the guides were very helpful and friendly. They all spoke surprisingly good english as compared to the Hotel staff at the hotels we stayed in, who could not speak or understand english at all). Our guide in Beijing (Lucy) was very caring, friendly and helpful, she took me to a super market to buy diapers for my baby daughter, after she found out that, her diaper bag was left in the car and the driver was gone. Actually I wanted to ask you for a favour, I have misplaced Lucy's e-mail address and I told her that I will e-mail her a picture of my daughter and Lucy that we photographed in Beijing. So please could you send me her e-mail address.
Had the weather been little bit cooler it would have been the perfect vacation .In Shanghai the temp went up to 39 degree Celcius one day, that day we were out all day, we went to Nanjing street and Yuan garden as well as the Bund. Next day we had to take a flight to Beijing and from Beijing back to Karachi.
Overall we enjoyed our trip and I would like to thank you for organizing our trip to China .After looking at your pic, I am regretting not visiting Guilin. Scenery in the background is absolutely beautiful.

Dear Mr. Wei
I just wanted to write and thank you very much for the service you provided to myself and my brother recently on our holiday.
All your guides were exceptionally good. All very happy to help, friendly, knowledgable, polite and accomodating. The flights were all planned very well and travelling from place to place was very easy as a result. We would have no hesitation in recommending your services to our friends and family.
We hope to use you again in the future!

Dear Sinbba,
I write to you just a few lines in order to thank you and your team for all the efforts made in making our trip to China. We have had a wonderful experience. We are looking forward to visit China again. We are very satisfied with the quality service of China Odissey and in particular with the guides that we have had the pleasure to deal with.
Please forward our special thanks to them: Jack in Beijing, Judy in Xian, Ya Jing in Giulin, and Hai En in Shanghai. We would like to thank them personally but we don’t have their emails. If you could please provide us with their emails we would appreciate it very much.

Yoko, ni hao!
This is Linda Gutman finally getting a message to you.
We have been home a month now from China and we have been so busy that I am way behind in important correspondence.
I especially want to mention the tour guides who helped us, and the drivers. I will say more in my final “report” but I did want to mention our Guilin guide, Merrick Li. He was excellent with arrangements, knowledgeable, very upbeat and positive, and a general pleasure to spend time with. We are even continuing a correspondence. I hope things are going well for you. Is the weather cooling down yet?
Again, thanks for now for all you did to make our trip a success. We were so well taken care of! Xiexie!!!!

Hi Karen,
Yes, this is the real John writing this email. It's not Judy this time!
I am so thrilled to have visited your country! What a pleasant contrast to the rest of the places we have visited during our lifetime. As may have been mentioned before, I worked as an engineer for Britain Airways at London (Heathrow) for 34 years. This work gave me and my family the opportunity to take many holidays to different countries across the world (staff travel). We consider we are a well travelled family with lots of experience to draw on. We do not drink or smoke and choose to spend our hard earned money on travel. We constantly look at TV holiday programmes, brochures and now the internet for new and interesting places to visit and hence our visit to China (China Odyssey). To arrange things and to pay large sums of money over the internet was a bit of a worry to us as we are from the older generation. These days you hear of so much fraud on the internet. You have no idea the relief we felt when we saw Jennifer with a piece of paper and our names on it at Shanghai Airport.
Karen you are to be congratulated! Between you and Judy you put together an itinerary which turned out to be a dream holiday for me. Thankyou!
Now you have asked for feedback about our tour.
You talk about the arrangements. I feel I have covered them above. We have and would certainly recommend your company to anybody we know who is thinking about venturing towards China.
With regard to all our guides and drivers. The guides certainly provided us with all the information and knowledge we could wish for and they were very attentive to our needs.
The drivers all drove in a very civilised way and kept us safe. As you can imagine it was a culture shock for us to experience the way all road users use the Chinese roads. From our point of view we are used to well ordered and disciplined road use.
We have no objection to your company using our experiences to promote China Odyssey Tours.
It was a pleasure to have met you in person at your office in Guilin.
Best wishes

Dear Nancy
I just want to say hello and thank you so much for the arrangements during our trip in China . Your colleague Ms Wanda Tang was really great and helpful.
Our trip that included Tibet and Lhasa , the Yangtze River , Xian , bicycling close to Kunming and Shanghai was a long and sometimes exhausting trip. But everyone we met during our three weeks in China helped us really great. Actually we have nothing to complain about.
I have sent pictures from our trip to Wanda that you can use on your website if you prefer to do so.
So once again , Wanda did an excellent job for us and we will recommend China oddyse ytours for others in the future.

Leo,
We had a very good trip to China and Tibet July 14 - 24, 2007. Our guide in Tibet, "Jim" was very good. We liked him very much. His driver was also very careful and polite.
The people in Xian who came several times to our hotel to help with the Tibet Visa were also very nice and helpful. Everything worked out perfectly.
I only wish I had you arrange our visit to the Terracotta Warriors as we had a very crazy and dangerous taxi driver who scared us with his fast driving in the rain. I'm sure someone working for you would have been more careful.
I will not hesitate to reccommend you to anyone traveling to your part of the world.
If we make another visit to China I will contact you.

Hi Sophie-
We arrived home from China yesterday but were very sad to leave your wonderful country.
It was truly a pleasure to meet you while we were in Guilin. Thank you for taking the time to see us.
The trip was really wonderful – you did a lovely job planning it for us
The Yangtze Cruise ship was wonderful!!! The staff were terrific, the food great and the beds very comfortable.
For your information, we thought Lei (our guide in Xian) was exceptional – the best of our guides. Very knowledgeable, very flexible, very easy to understand and gave us some great suggestions on some optional things to do/see.
Sophia, our guide in Beijing, did not give us an evaluation form to fill out. She said it wasn’t needed. She was terrific, very knowledgeable, and she was great with the kids. We also really liked the hotel in Beijing - the beds were really comfortable.
Lastly, the information you provided in advance of the trip was very helpful.
All in all, a great trip and we would happily recommend China Odyssey Tours (and, of course, you) to others considering a trip to China. Thank you again for all your effort.

Hi Vera,
First I want to say you were great. You were always patient with us when we weren't sure of where we wanted to go, and you always answered our questions promptly and completely. The quotations you gave us always responded to our requests and were accurate and the pricing was for good value.
Second, some of the many tihings we enjoyed and will always remember from our trip to China was walking on Nanking Road in Shanghai; of course the Yangtse Cruise and the 3 Gorges dam; all the amazing hi-rise buildings in Beijiing as well as walking with all the people on Tianammen Square.
The cheerful smiling service of our maid and waitress on the cruise was really wonderful.
Third, the museum in Yichang was special to us for the following reasons:
It was small enough so we didn't get tired or bored with the displays
There was really interesting historical information and artifacts and the guide was very knowledgeable It was quiet and we could stand and read the notes and look at things without being pushed or hurried
The store in the museum had some interesting and unique items for sale that we felt offered good value for the money.
Hope this helps.
Thanks again,
Tom and Annette

Hi Vera
Sorry for the late reply. AFTER CHINA WE WENT TO EUROPE AND JUST GOT BACK TO AUSTRALIA
The tour planned by your company was good. Timing was perfect. We caught our flight to Chongqing from Shenzhen quite easily even though we were worried about getting there on time from Hong Kong airport.
At Chongqing the tour guide met us at the airport. He was friendly and showed us around Chongqing, visiting everything as scheduled. The hot pot dinner was excellent. He got us to the Victoria Prince (Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing to Shanghai) and made sure we checked in. He was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful and his English was good. We had a great time. I do recommend the reliable services of your company My only regret is China has lots of pollution and every town is covered with smog that makes all photos to be not clear!
Thank you and have a good day

Hello Sinba
I’ll start out by saying this: the trip was even better than I hoped it would be. Starting with the excellent guides and drivers, we had a remarkable experience from start to finish. I would recommend your company and our itinerary to anyone who had the remotest interest in going to China. It was an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for everything.
PS – while all of our guides were wonderful, we were especially lucky to have Li in Guilin, whose sense of humor and inexhaustible energy were an absolute pleasure, and added tremendously to our enjoyment of the trip.

We were very pleased with our tour of Guilin and Longji Terraces . It was well arranged by you and you responded promptly to all requests. Our Guide Alice was a gem , arranged everything professionally and we felt well looked after. It was extremely hot but Alice made sure we always had drinks and the car was ready when needed.
The trip to the Longji terraces is worthwhile and we hope that tourism wont spoil the natural beauty of it all. Guilin is a green city with lots to offer. The cruise on the Li river well organized and the landscape unique. Lets hope the masses of people that go through this region wont have a negative impact!
We enjoyed the hospitality of our touroperaters and the friendliness of the Country enormously and will be back.

Dear Vera
Thank you for your e-mail of July 9, 2007.
We have been very happy on our Yantze River Cruise.
The whole organization was perfect. We appreciated very much that right at the airport in Chongqing the guide was there and took us to a sightseeing tour. It was very interesting. We learnd a lot about China and the people living there on that afternoon. We liked the hot pot in the evening very much. Our guide was very well educated.
On the cruise we appreciated the food, the entertainements and the sightseeing that we could attend. Everything was well organized.
At the end we had no problem to come to the airport, since another guide was picking us up.
So, we really can recommend your company to all our friends.
Thanks a lot for everything. Attached you will find a few pictures.

Hello Sophie,
Thank you for thinking of us.
We are on the mend, Jane has been up and about for a couple of days now and I went to Canberra yesterday. I went especially back to "Flight Centre" where we booked our flight to China, to tell them how pleased we were with Odyssey Tours! In the evening I showed at the video club highlights of the Liu Sanjie light and water show in Yangshuo; we are allowed only 6 mins, so I had to do a lot of editing, it was well received.
After looking after Jane for two weeks, I expect that next week I shall have some more time to work on our journal and write some comments about Odyssey Tours.
Have a nice weekend, greetings

Louisa,
Thank you for your warm welcome in Guilin, we truly enjoyed meeting you. The entire trip was an outstanding experience primarily because of the tremendous package you put together. The China Odyssey Tours guides were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. We especially liked Kelly in Beijing and Edith in Guilin. All of the provided drivers were very skillful, friendly and polite. All of the guides and drivers were fun to have with our small group and made the trip more pleasant. We are particularly grateful to each guide and driver for being patient with us and flexible with our change requests. All of the lodging accommodations were beyond our expectations and first class. All of the arrangements you made for us were spectacular and we will not hesitate for a moment to use China Odyssey Tours for our next trip to China, perhaps as early at 2009. Again, thank you for magnificent trip that was all too short…we left China and the wonderful people of China and carry with us a lifetime of breathtaking memories.

Hello,
I reserved a trip through your travel agency and worked with your tour agent named Karen Yang. Unfortunately, we had to cancel because of health reasons. But I wanted to express how happy we were with Karen. She always responded right away and always took care of my needs. She was very good in explaining everything to me and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend her to my friends who are planning to go to China. In fact, we do plan to still come to China in the future and would like to work with Karen again.
Look forward to visiting China.

Hi Vera, Ni hao
I had a fantastic time in China, thanks for organising everything. Both Maggie and Tiffany looked after me very well and guided me through all the important sites. I was very impressed with the way Maggie dealt with the change to my tour when I did not want to get up so early to go to Chengde. Also I was impressed with her climbing the Great Wall with me. I don't know how she fealt but I found it tiring but exhillerating.
Tiffany showed me around the terra-cotta soldiers, which were breathtaking and impressive. I found the buildings which now enclose the excavations also impressive.
I took many photos but have not had time to sort them out. I will send you some photos later.
Once again, thankyou to everyone for making my holiday so enjoyable.

Thank you Yoko,
We had a great trip.
I am enclosing some feedback.
Our Tour Operator responded quickly and was very friendly and helpful. She helped us personalize our tour by adding an extra day and making the meals vegetarian. All the arrangements were great. We had our own vehicle with air-conditioning, and our own tour guide. Since the tour was personalized just for us, we could stay for as long as we wanted at each location. It was easy to understand the tour guides’ English, and they had a lot of fascinating knowledge to share.
It was nice to have all transportation, hotels, flights, and guides taken care of for us. The trip was enjoyable and stress free. I would recommend this service to others.
Sincerely,
Nathan

Hi, Yoko
Sorry for the delayed response. I'm glad you got the little gifts. I do volunteer work at the Kennedy Center. I work every Sunday night. I was the historian also and just recently finished writing a 30 year history of the volunteer organization. It is a fun place to volunteer.
The train was really very interesting and Charles made it through the train trip ok. It definitely was a long ride but worth it! I just recommended you to some people I met who hope to make a trip in the next year. I'll forward the email I sent to her just as information for you. Please do not contact her yet though.
The trip was so good. You will see some of my thoughts in the email I will be forwarding. The Panda Research Center was a very special highlight for me. I was so happy to see the great effort Chengdu makes to improve the air quality for the pandas! The ride there was exciting because of the road conditions. It actually took about 5 hours to get there and about 10 hours to return because of a traffic jam! The drive in Chengdu was so good how he managed the road and driving! The train through Tibet was beautiful! I was amazed at the large size of Lhasa. For some reason I expected a much smaller town and the Tibetan culture to be more prominent. The Shanghai museum is beautiful and a full day should be allowed to see it. There is so much there to read and learn about. I think it is one of the best museums anywhere.
