How are you? Please forgive the lateness of this "THANK YOU!" George, Dale, Rita, and I had the most wonderful trip in your country. We all agree that there was not a single thing about the trip we would have changed, except we did not get the chance to meet you and your girlfriend. Our guides were simply wonderful. We always knew that there would be someone waiting for us at the airport, no matter what time of day or night and no matter what type of weather! Our drivers were amazing...getting in and out of traffic and to our destinations in most interesting ways! We have the highest regard for you and your colleagues at China Odyssey. Please know that I would be most happy to serve as a reference, should that be useful to you.

Also, I wanted to let you know about all of the amazing things that our news broadcasters and our friends and relatives are saying about the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic games. The broadcasters in the USA are using words like "stunning", "magnificent", and "extraordinary" to describe the Opening Ceremony. I was thrilled that Americans were getting to see a little bit of China's history, culture, and amazing technological progress as part of the ceremony. I am sure you must be very proud of your country. China should be proud of the exceptional picture it has presented on the world stage.

Thank you again for working so hard to be sure that our trip was everything that we wanted it to be...especially the many opportunities to interact with the Chinese people. If we have the opportunity to return to China, China Odyssey will be my only choice for assistance.

Dear Louisa,

While recovering from jet lag we often found ourselves traveling again through China with the many images still floating in our brains. I had never used China Odyssey before and didn't know quite what to expect, but after our initial meeting in Shanghai, I felt we were in good hands. You guides and drivers were always punctual and knowledgeable. Our biggest surprise came when we visited a little known city to us, Chongqing, and found a charming metropolis of 3 million people. Our guide went over and above to show us her city and planned outings she thought we would enjoy. This commitment to go above and beyond made Fiona very special and dear. She had never been out of Chongqing but her English was excellent and spoke like a native.

I appreciate your handling of our travel affairs at each city throughout our journey. The hotels were excellent and comfortable. The breakfasts at the hotels were very good and offered a variety of choice. This was an excellent start since not all the offerings at the pre-planned restaurants were very appetizing. Although all the restaurants appeared clean and efficient, they lacked the local flavor and variety of local specialties that we sought. They were operated mainly for tourists and we had better experiences at local restaurants.

I regret we didn't have more time at the Forbidden City. Our guide was anxious to cover everything in the itinerary, but that deserved more time. I also regret not visiting the Shaolin Monastery or the Ming Tombs which I felt should have been included but not for the lofty sum quoted us. I guess that will be left for our next adventure. The Peking Opera and a Peking Dinner would also have been a good addition to our itinerary.

My apologies for taking so long to send this. Life catches up quickly after a holiday! We just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to China and can't thank you enough for the work you did in putting together an excellent schedule.We found all the hotels to be excellent and had no problems with any others at all. The standard of service was excellent and staff friendly and helpful everywhere we went.

I particularly want to mention the guides. We were very impressed with all of them - they had good English, were friendly, knowledgeable and very flexible and helpful. They all went out of their way to ensure we had the best experiences and we thank them for that.

Overall we believe the service provided by China Odyssey is excellent and have no problems in recommending your company to anyone we know who may consider travelling to China.

Dear Sophie,

Thank you very much for arranging such a wonderful tour for us in China. I reached home last night after a wonderful 2 weeks thanks to your excellent organization.

The tour guides were all really good, they could not have been better and the hotels, the transport, the visits were all excellent. The arrangements were so smooth even when you had to change things at the last moment.

The whole experience was so impressive and it goes without saying that China was just amazing. Many many thanks for all you did.

Good to hear from you.

We had a very positive and fantastic experience touring China with China Odyssey Tours. Our guides/drivers were very knowledgeable, punctual, patient, hard working and flexible. We liked most the flexibility we had (as opposed to touring with a large group). At very short notice we were able to change plans or even while on the road, we could make a stop or a detour if something interested us. Our detour from the itinerary to visit the Great Mosque in Xian and The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces in Longseng was definitely the highpoints of the trip.

The Great Wall marathon was a fascinating experience. There were 1137 runners from 40 countries around the world. It was a very tough race but the landscape/scenery made it very worthwhile. We have our medals proudly displayed.

Enjoy the summer and remember to visit us when you are in Houston.
