China Odyssey Tours, an overseas company from a mysterious and ancient country, has been approved by the ASTA as a credible company.

Dear China Vera,

Thank you for your good wishes, and I likewise hope that you and yours have a most joyous holiday season!!

I have been travelling again on business and just returned from Paris and Vienna. BUT … Europe doesn't compare to the extraordinary sites, sounds and learnings that I experienced on the Yunnan Province trip that you so thoughtfully planned for me. Everything worked out exceedingly well, and I had the opportunity to do and see many things at just the NY pace to which I am accustomed.

I am most grateful to you and your outstanding staff of professional guides. The journey was an exciting joy from start to finish, and one of the highlights for me of the year 2006. I look forward to travelling with China Odyssey Tours again.

With appreciation and warmest best wishes,

As a leading online travel agency specializing in private tours in China, China Odyssey Tours possesses a matchless advantage.

Dear Vera,

Thank you so much for keeping in touch and for your kind greetings. I wanted to reply to you much earlier but after our vacation in China my professional life was very busy with plenty of travel so I did not have time.

Martin and I would like to thank you very warmly for everything that you did to make our stay in China so memorable. Everything, up to the very little detail, went very well and was organised in a most efficient and professional manner. All hotels, guides, tours and other arrangements went as planned, everybody we met was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.

It was very nice meeting you as well in Guilin – we have recommended Chinaoddyssey to all our friends. Hope you will have a lot of business through that!

Since I travel a lot for work I frequently review hotels and I added my reviews of some of the hotels we stayed in China to the following website:

It may well be that I come to Beijing again in spring for a congress – perhaps I will be in touch for a hotel reservation then.

I wish you all of the very best and a good start into the new year 2007!

Warmest regards,

Based in China and knowing your interest in China, China Odyssey Tours aims at bringing you the REAL China and its different sides..

Thank you for your Christmas Greeting. Do people celebrate Mid winter or Solstice festivals in China? My apologies for not writing but it has been very busy since I came back from our trip. Between working and studying there has been almost no spare time.

Martin and I still have very fond memories of our trip to China and TAR and have shown our pictures many times. China is an amazing country it is so different that sometimes I felt like we were on another planet. We had a brilliant tour (thanks to you) and have told our friends how we were able to have a special experience in China and TAR. I have gained the deepest respect for the Chinese people, who are indeed very remarkable. We will definitely return to China in a few years. I would be interested in traveling to the South West and Hong Kong area and spending more time - perhaps we could even come to Guilin.

Christmas is a time in the West when we pray for a peaceful world and good will to all people. It is a festival of giving and light. To Christians the birth of Jesus Christ Son of God is celebrated because He is the symbol of love. To Pagans it is the celebration of the return of the sun (after Dec 21), to Jews it is the celebration of triumph of light over darkness. We are also different and yet so connected.

We would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2007.

Best regards

Knowing China’s history and profound culture well is one of the key preconditions for carrying out private tours in this country.

Dear Wanda,

Thank you for your lovely message. I should have written long before now but I would like to tell you now that we had a truly wonderful time in China. Everything was so well organised, our tour guides were excellent and we enjoyed every moment. China Odyssey Tours strongly recommends a Yangtze Cruise, because of the fantastic experience and the most competitive prices.

Hi Wanda,

Thank you for the lovely Christmas Greeting. i have been a bit busy over the last little while, but still do intend on sending my comments on your web page. I found you by looking up Yangtze Cruise on Internet and then from there companies that could arrange the tour for individuals and possible joining another tour if not enough people. I loved how your company was able to design a specific tour that met our families needs. I recommend everyone to Odyssey tours for China.

Will send back my web page comments later.

Hope you and all your friends, colleagues and family have a wonderful holiday season , although I know Chinese New Year is not for a while yet.

Best Wishes,
liz

As one of the world's most ancient civilizations, China enjoys a rich culture and a recorded history of 4000 years.

Dear Vera,

Just a quick note to say that we made it to Hong Kong without any problems and have been relaxing for the last five or six days. We'll head back to the states on Friday this week.

Our trip to China was just about perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I believe that I had a chance to see lots of the "real" China, not just tourist sights. I especially enjoyed our drives through the country and the trip up the Yangtze because it gave me a chance to see how everyday Chinese people live and work. And speaking of work, you better not move to Lijiang because there, the women do most of the work. According to Susan, or local guide, the men's job is to think, do art, play Majong, and drink beer. The women do everything else. A great place to be a man, I think. I guess we were very fortunate in our timing at Huangshan because we had clear blue skies on the mountain and it was absolutely beautiful.

When we get home and have a chance to download our 1200 or 1300 pictures, we'll be sending you some. I'm sure you don't have enough pictures of China, ha ha. Well, thanks again for setting up this incredible journey for us. I'll certainly never forget it.

Rapid development over the past 20 years has made the cities take on different styles and features, making China a country of contrasts.

Dear Vera,

We are at home since now one week but a part of our mind is always in China. You are responsible of this fact because the trip you have built for us was very nice, as well for the almost perfect organization as for the choice of subjects to see and enjoy. It was a pleasure to try to understand the complexity of this country with so many people so different and all very pleasant. So you know, I have only one idea, stay more time; enough to understand a little more chinese people.

Thank you very much dear Vera. Our best wishes for the new year. We hope sincerly to keep in touch with you and one day to see you again in Guillin and maybe in our small island Guadeloupe, why not? Our best wishes to Susan, our aristocratic guide and to all others who have done our trip so interesting for the knowledge of their country. And a special thought to Aileen who has been so helpful in Kunming.

You will be impressed by the contrasts between the lifestyles in ethnic areas and those in modern cities along the coast.

Dear Wanda,

My husband and I wish to thank you and your staff for taking care of us during our trip to China. You all made our trip very enjoyable and we will certainly recommend you to our friends. As a matter of fact, we have already told many of our friends about our good experiences with your agency's services. A lot of them are interested in travelling to China but do not want to join the big group tours. They prefer to have their own little group tours organized. I will pass them your website and email address for them to contact you directly.

In the meantime, if you have any interesting programs for the coming Olympics, please let me know. We are planning to go back to China for the Olympics with a few friends.

Again thank you very much for everything and have a Great Christmas Holidays and a Happy New Year.

Best regards,

Cities in China have their own unique features: Beijing--a perfect combination of ancient history and modern life.

Hello Annie,

We had a fabulous time in your country of China and our tour guide (Kelly) was excellent as well as our driver was very good. They were always on time and never hurried us. Kelly is very knowledgeable about the history of your country and is quite remarkable in remembering it all to pass onto us. The tour itself was great in that we saw many world UNESCO Sites or world heritage sites. You are very fortunate to have so many wonderful sites in your country to share with tourists. The trip was divided up each day very well with some sightseeing as well as some shopping. We really enjoyed the jade factory and the tea house. At our request, Kelly also arranged for us to go to the zoo to see Panda Bears as well as taking us to a silk factory to purchase items. Each day was very enjoyable and educational. Your country has so much history where as here in Canada, our country is not even two hundred years old.

The hotel and accommodations were top notch! The hotel was beautiful and very central and had every comfort we needed. The buffet breakfast were to die for and had everything anyone would want to eat for breakfast! The restaurants that were chosen for lunches were great with some having entertainment while we ate. We really enjoyed the variety of Chinese dishes that were available for us to eat and the Peking Duck dinner was delicious.

Our rickshaw ride through the streets was very interesting. All in all, we hated to leave China after five days. Bejiing certainly has lots to see and offer tourists. In future, we would also like to tour Shanghai and other parts of China. You have a very large country to see and we would need a longer holiday to travel to other parts of your country. I must say that our favourite sight was the Great Wall of China - it truly is a miracle when you think it was built 3,000 years ago with not near the technology and equipment we have today.

We have passed your name and site onto many friends who have Canadian children teaching in South Korea as most of them are interested in visiting China.

Thank you very much for arranging a wonderful five day tour in China for us. I think we saw and did a lot in five days and it gave us a good overview of Bejiing.

Thank you,

Cities have their own unique features: Xian--an ancient capital for thousands of years; Shanghai--China’s New York.

Hi Annie,

One of the highlights of our trip was going to Guilin/Yangshou and the Li River Cruise. The cone peak mountains are spectactular as well as the local Chinese villages along the way. One particularly great day was a bike tour that we took with our guide Tony from Yangshou. We biked all day going through small villages and local farms. Many of the roads Tony had never been on but he was delighted to go exploring with us. Tony negotiated with a local farmer's wife to have lunch at her farm. The farmer came out and asked if we wanted chicken and fish which we said sounded fine. The farmer gave us two fishing rods to catch our fish from his pond ( he eventually netted them after we had no luck), picked up the chicken that was roaming around near us and brought it into the kitchen, the farmer's wife went into the field to collect the vegatables, and in about 1/2 hour we had lunch. It was definitely fresh! and deliciious. On our way back, we were biking along a river and ended up putting our bikes on a raft (my husband was on one raft with the bikes and my daughter and I were on another raft) and we were poled down the river for a few miles. We passed other rafts where a local was selling hot tea and others cooking on barbques.

It was a wonderful day filled with one great experience after another.

Dear Laeticia,

China Tours and Laeticia were oustanding support to what we wanted to be a private visit to China.

Good base trip organization associated with local guides flexibilie in arranging some variations requested as result of readings or opportunities were a major element of pleasure and feeling free which is good to have during vacation time. All visits were outstanding, we come back from there with an immense respect for Chinese people, for China and the great variety of its treasures. It just created a big desire to go back.We wish to thanks the whole team, these vacations will stay for ever in our heart.
