Imperial Beijing Tour with Badaling Great Wall

Highlights: This tour was specially designed for those people interested in China's imperial past, and the life and death of China's ancient emperors. Visitors will see where the Emperor's lived at the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. They will also experience what that ate at Beijing's famous Fangshan (Imperial-style dinner) Restaurant, and see the splendor in which they were buried at the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Road. Visitors will also get to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall, as well as see how local Beijing residents have lived for centuries in one of Beijing's many Hutongs.

 

Day-by-day Tour Itinerary

 Day 1 Arrive Beijing

Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel
Recommended Local Food: Fangshan (Imperial-style dinner)
Transfer via: International Flight on your own arrangement
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

 Day 2 Beijing

Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel
Meals: B,L,D
Sightseeing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven
Special Dinner: Peking Duck Dinner
Today you will first visit the historic Tiananmen Square, and then the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a famous Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.

 Day 3 Beijing

Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel
Meals: B,L
Sightseeing: Sacred Road, Ding Tomb, Great Wall
Today's full-day excursion will take you to the majestic Great Wall, Ming Tomb and Sacred road.

 Day 4 Beijing / Departure

Meals: B,L
Sightseeing: Hutongs
After breakfast, you will visit Hutongs by rickshaw. After your visit to the Beijing Hutongs, your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

  • If you plan to climb the Badaling Great Wall, you can visit the Sacred Road and Ding Tomb en route. Visitors to the Mutianyu Great Wall can not visit the Sacred Road and Ding Tomb on the same day.
