Chengdu Hotel - Where to Stay in Chengdu

Chengdu is becoming more and more important as a tourist destination. Being the capital city of Sichuan Province, it is known for its advantageous location, beautiful scenery, and cultural and historical relics. The number of visitors to Chengdu is increasing each year. Of course for visitors to Chengdu, one of the most important parts of their trip is their accommodations. A wide range of hotels is available to accept a large number of visitors from China and abroad in Chengdu City.

There is a large selection of hotels ranging from three to five stars in Chengdu. A number of these hotels are located in the center of the city, and some are located near some of Chengdu's most famous and popular scenic spots. Chengdu's five-star hotels are all comprehensively-facilitated and are designed to make guests feel relaxed and refreshed after their daily tours. The facilities in Chengdu's four-star hotels are also well designed and managed. The major difference is in regards to location. In Chengdu's three-star hotels, visitors also receive wonderful service but at lower prices.  

The room rates in Chengdu's hotels are within the norms of Chinese hotel prices. Most hotels usually have vacancies on most days. Chengdu is host to numerous trade fairs and conferences and hotel rooms are in high demand during this season, so it is recommended that visitors make reservations in advance if they are planning to travel to Chengdu during this time.

For Jiuzhaigou, and the areas around it such as Dazu and Zigong (where the Zigong Dinosaur Museum is located), which are only small counties, there are no4-star and 5-star hotels available. Only small hotels and guest houses can be found. Although lacking in some of the amenities of the larger hotels, these hotels and guests' houses are very clean and are family-run. The operators of these small hotels do go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and are proud to show off their traditional Chinese hospitality.
