Day 1 Arrive Shanghai

Upon your arrival at Shanghai airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2 Shanghai (B, L)

Today, your tour of the incredible city of Shanghai will include a visit to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Bund and the Nanjing Road, Yu Garden and the Yuyuan Market.

Day 3 Shanghai / Suzhou (B, L)
Transfer via: Train (soft-seat) arranged by us
Accommodations: Bamboo Grove Hotel
Sites visited: Lingering Garden, The No.1 Silk Factory, Tiger Hill Park, Pan Gate
After breakfast, you will take a train to your next destination - Suzhou. Upon arriving, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Your tour in Suzhou includes: the quiet Lingering Garden, the Pan Gate and the ancient Tiger Hill Park. Later visit the No.1 Silk Factory to learn how the pure silk products are made from a small cocoon.

Seen from the stone windows, you may enjoy the nice scenery on the Tiger Hill Park.

Tongli

It is terrific to go to Tongli to enjoy the tranquil water town in the misty rain.

Day 4 Suzhou / Tongli / Shanghai (B, L)
Accommodations:Holiday Inn Shanghai - Downtown
After breakfast, you will be driven to Tongli, there you will pay a visit to the Garden of Seclusion and Meditations, Pearl Pagoda, Triple Bridge, Ming and Qing Dynasty Street. Overnight you will be driven back to Shanghai.

Day 5 Shanghai / Hong Kong (B)
Transfer via: Internal Flight arranged by China Odyssey Tours
Accommodations: Regal Kowloon Hotel
After breakfast, you will be driven to airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon your arrival at Hong Kong, a vibrant metropolis, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel and you will have a half-day Hong Kong Island tour.

Day 6 Hong Kong (B)

Day 7 Hong Kong / Hanoi (B)
Transfer via:International flight arranged by China Odyssey Tours

Sites visited:One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison
After breakfast, you will be driven to airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon your arrival at Hanoi, if time permits, you will have city tour around Hanoi to visit Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and Hoa Lo Prison.

Day 8 Hanoi / Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Accommodations: Overnight on board.
Sites visited: cruising around Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, you will be driven to Halong city at about 12:00. Upon arrival, you will get on a Junk cruising around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch, passing Dog island, Incense Urn island, Ga Choi island, Finger island, Hoa Cuong Island and visit Surprise Cave and short swimming at Titov beach (if weather permits). You will have dinner on board and enjoy the night fishing. Overnight on board.

Day 9 Halong Bay / Hanoi (B, L)
Accommodations:Zephyr hotel--Hanoi
Sites visited: Halong Bay, Hanoi Old Quarter
After breakfast, you will cruise to Bai Tu long Bay, Fire island, Bo Nau island, fishing village. You will have lunch on boat and then arrive at Ha long wharf about 12.00 at noon. Then you will be driven back to Hanoi by car and your guide will escort you to your hotel about 16:00pm. The rest time is free at your own leisure.( cyclo around the trading area in Hanoi Old Quarter.)

Day 10 Hanoi / Hochiminh (B)

In the morning, you will be transferred to Cu Chi to explore the remarkable underground tunnel network and former Viet Cong stronghold, 30 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Cu Chi Tunnels consist of a network of more than 200 km of underground tunnels used by resistance fighters during the U.S./Vietnam War. After that, you will be driven back to HCMC.

Mekong Delta

The farmers are busy preparing their goods to sell on the famous floating market, Mekong Delta.

Day 11 Mekong Delta (B, L)
Accommodations: Metropole Hotel--Hochiminh
Sites visited: Mekong river floating market : Cai Be floating market
After breakfast, you will leave at 8:00 from your hotel for Cai Be floating market where approximately 400 -500 boats filled with fruits, vegetables and other products anchor along the banks of the river daily, waiting for traders and customers. The merchandise sold in each boat is hung on a high pole in front of the boat as a sample to attract customers from a distance. Then, you will visit a local garden and house to see orchard, rice crisped producing process, etc. After lunch, you will cruise along Tien river to see peaceful tranquil life of villagers, and admire marvelous nature of Mekong Delta region. Upon your arrival at Vinh Long Market at about 15:00, you may walk around to explore Vinh Long Market. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh with stop at bonsai garden. At last, you will come back to your hotel in the late evening.

12 Days Hochiminh / Final departure (B)

On this day you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
