Perfectly Arranged Travel
Dear Karen,
I would like to share with you my impressions of your service. I would be pleased if you use my letter & photos on your website.
I planned my first tour of China with Ms. Annie Fang of China Odyssey Tours. I began the planning of my second tour with her also. Ms. Karen Yang assumed the task of completing the details of my second tour. My comments regard both of them.
It was so easy to plan with them. I told them when I would be there and a few specifics about what I would like to see. Within hours they had a detailed itinerary! We made some changes, finalized everything; I was ready to go. My trips were everything more than I expected. On my second tour, I had to make several last minute changes & cancellations. This was done by Karen swiftly pleasantly.I could not have asked for better service! All my tour arrangements were well done, no surprises, no problems. The tour guides they arranged for were knowledgable & spoke very good English. They also were very pleasant & always made sure I had everything I needed. Special requests were never a problem.I feel the best thing a person can do if they want to visit China is to use China Odyssey Tours because only a tour company in China can truly know the best of China.
My first tour was from Chongqing on the Victoria Cruises Line down the Yangtze River thru the Three Gorges. I loved it so much, I took the cruise up the river on my second trip! Then on to Beijing to visit the Summer Palace, Ming Tombs & of course, the Great Wall of China. Never have I seen anything so astounding.
My second tour I flew from Kunming, Yunnan Province (City of Eternal Spring) which is one of the lovliest places to enjoy China, to Hangzhou in the southeast.;Beautiful city laid out around a huge garden. A short and comfortable train ride to Suzhou, the Venice of the East, and again a beautiful city. Another short train ride to Shanghai. What a time! The view from the Pearl TV tower is not to be missed. So many different types of architecture, so many things to do. Temples, museums, markets, high end shops & old town marketplaces. A highlight was the famous Shanghai Acrobats. Like no other acrobatic show you have ever seen! In each city I stayed at the best hotels, beautiful & well located. We were unable to get a flight from Shanghai to Yichang, where the cruise ship leaves from, but flew to Wuhan. Then a relaxing private car ride to Yichang, past miles of green farmlands. In Yichang, a tour of the city before boarding the ship. The ships of Victoria Cruises are so elegant & comfortable. The crew, all of them, are helpful, courteous, friendly & just plain fun! The food is fabulous, each cabin has it's own balcony, the river guides are great, the shows, activities & presentations are superbly done. No wonder I wanted to go a second time! The Three Gorges, the Three Gorges Dam the lesser gorges made for wonderful excursions. Another highlight, the shore trip to FengDu, Ghost City. What a delight! Upon arriving at Chongqing I was met by yet another pleasant guide to take me around the city, then see me off at the airport. Since I had toured Chongqing on my first trip, my guide asked if there was someplace special I would like to go. We went to the zoo. Not large, but so worth it. I could have watched the pandas all day. Monkeys, lions, tigers, bears...oh, my! Then to the airport and back to Kunming. 11 days of food, fun, pleasant company, wonderful hotels, perfectly arranged travel, top notch guides. What more could you ask for?...NOT A THING!
Sincerely,
Susan Clarke, USA
