Travel in the Golden Triangle Cites of China

Dear Sophie,

I've been meaning to email you! I do have some thoughts about my China trip. I'm glad that you wrote me. I had the most wonderful time in China. Everything went smoothly. I think about this trip all the time and wish that I could do it all over again!

Regarding my internet communication with you:

I really appreciated how fast you got back to me and how you followed up when you didn't hear from me. I was a little worried when I didn't hear from you for a few days after I sent you the deposit and when you had to leave town. I might have been more at ease had you sent me an email saying that things were processing and that it could take a few days. But everything worked out really well. We're so happy with the itinerary that we worked together on and so pleased with everything we saw. The zoo was amazing and we were glad that we got to fit that into the schedule. The Han Yang Tombs in Xian were so amazing! I'm really glad that you suggested it.

In Beijing:
We really really appreciated having the same driver and tour guide during our whole stay in Beijing. The continuity was so nice. Richard (our tour guide) had impeccable English. It was extremely easy communicating with him and he was so flexible and accommodating, especially when we wanted to stay at certain locations longer or stop to do some shopping. Richard did a great job budgeting time and switching things around so that it fit our time in Beijing. He and Mr. Ma (our driver) took great care of us. They would call to make sure that we were doing okay. They were on time and patient. Richard also took some great photos of us.

In Xian:
Old Mr. Wong was another great driver. Ivan, our tour guide was the sweetest and most attentive guide. He was enthusiastic and energetic. I felt very comfortable around him and felt well taken care of. He would have napkins and wet wipes for us to use after our meals. He was extremely knowledgeable about Chinese history and constantly shared it with us. He put up with our questions. He really went above and beyond! They had very longs days with us and we really appreciated their care and patience. I also enjoyed going to the Terracotta Warrior factory and tour.

In Shanghai:
Chris also had superb English skills. Though soft spoken, she accompanied us to some great places, allowing us to stop for Coffee and Donuts. She didn't really allow us much time for lunch in Yu Garden & Market and we had too much time in the Zhu Jia Jiao. The driver in Shanghai was pleasant and polite.

Would it be possible to put me in touch with my our tour guides by email? We have some pictures of them that I would like to send.

I would be happy to send you some photos of our trip. I'm still organizing them but I'll send some soon.

Thanks Sophie! I really had a trip of a life time.
