They are mainly English-speaking and in the main come from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. We do have travelers from different countries as well. Our tours are well-accompanied by English-speaking guides, but guides who can speak other languages will be only available in certain cities upon request.

Your tour is a private tour! Your individual guide will meet you at the airport/train station upon your arrival, showing you around, till seeing you off at the airport / or train station for your next destination. You will not be mixed with other tourists when sightseeing and transferring except for wherever applicable.

China Odyssey Tours is Tang Dynasty Tours' first online brand focusing on providing private tours in China directly to end consumers from all over the world. We are operating the Odyssey series across destinations in China and Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand) and Indian Sub (India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka).

As a private tour, you are the key to controlling where to stay longer or shorter if it does not affect the timetable. The small nature of private tours means that the local tour guide becomes your traveling companion rather than just a tour guide, which makes for a much more rewarding experience.

1. Send us an inquiry by filling in one of our online forms. Tell us when you wish to come, how many days, where you want to go, how many people, and any other information which is necessary for us to plan a perfect China tour for you. 
2. After we receive your inquiry, one of our professional China travel consultants will email you and give you a proposal.
3. If you accept the proposal (you may modify it till you are satisfied with it), we will calculate the tour cost and send you the tour price. If you accept it, please confirm that you would like to book it.
4. You need to pay a deposit of about 30 percent of the total price (full amount)to secure the booking and we will make all the reservations according to your tour itinerary immediately after we receive your deposit. Just tell us what you want for your China tour and let us do the rest! We provide prompt response, professional tour design, reasonable prices, and worry-free customer service.

Private tours are fully guided tour packages, namely, a professional tour guide who can speak your language and a private car with an experienced driver in each city will be at your service during your China stay. From the starting city to the last stop, they will take good care of you, providing services as follows: airport/train pick-up, guided tour, airport/train seeing off. Exceptions that you have to do tours with others are in Yangtze River Cruise and Li River Cruise. Taking SIC tours (seat-in-coach tours) means you have to share a large coach with strange tourists. An English-speaking tour guide and a coach driver are responsible for all the group members so your request may not be solved shortly. The advantage of SIC is the less expensive price but the itinerary is not flexible at all.

All these tours are fully escorted packages, which means in each city, you will have your own professional tour guide speaking your language and a private air-conditioned car/van/coach with your private driver at your service during your stay there, from meeting you at the airport (or train station) upon your arrival, showing you around, till seeing you off at the airport (or train station) for your next destination.

Note: If a group is bigger than 10 people, we can offer a private escort (nationwide tour guide) who will be at your service all the time, traveling with the group from one city to another during your whole trip to China.
