Yangshuo has a history of more than 2000 years. The West Street is at the center of Yangshuo. Its buildings were built in the style of traditional Chinese architecture.
The street is lined with shops, hotels and restaurants. The shops offer many unique handicrafts and works of art. Yangshuo is extremely popular with Westerners and the West Street is often referred to as a "Global Village".

The nightlife of the West Street is really shining. From 7:00 to 12:00 p.m., it is at the height of splendor. Tourists from all quarters will gather here, shopping, eating, or walking.

The various bars and restaurants are loved by the night owls, such as the Drifters Café, Mei you Café, Jimmy's café & bar, Mingyuan coffee bar, etc. Drinking beer under the soft jazz, you must be absorbed in the exotic West Street.
Outside the bars and restaurants, people enjoy themselves in the night scene.

No matter how old you are, no matter which country you come from, no matter what color your skin is, as long as you travel to Yangshuo, you can make friends with everybody open-minded and easy-going, at the West Street. It is no wonder that some people compare the West Street to the Guilin's Lan Kwai Fong.
In the early 1980s, some European and American tourists found this amazing holiday resort – Yangshuo, with beautiful karst mountains and Li River. Unexpectedly, they were reluctant to leave. They married local girls or boys, and most bars in the West Street are run by them. Now they are living a happy life that everyone envies.
