Where to Stay in Guizhou
Until recently the province of Guizhou has remained relatively unknown. It is becoming more and more important as a tourist destination due to its abundance of ethnic minority culture. The capital city of Guizhou Province, Guiyang is known for its beautiful scenery, and cultural and historical relics. The number of the visitors to Guiyang is increasing each year. Of course for visitors to Guiyang, one of the most important parts of their trip is their accommodations. A wide range of hotels are available to accept the large number of visitors from China and abroad in Guiyang City.
There is a large selection of hotels ranging from the three to five-stars in Guiyang. The majority of these hotels are located in the center of the city. For five-star hotels, China Odyssey Tours recommends Sheraton Guiyang Hotel and the Guiyang Shengfeng Hotel. For four-star hotels, China Odyssey Tours recommends Kerry Dragon Grand Hyatt Hotel, Guiyang Regal Hotel, and the Hawn Mandarin Inn. For three star hotels, China Odyssey Tours recommends the Holiday Inn Guiyang. Visitors staying at these hotels will have not only have easy access to some of the city's most famous sites, but are also located in the center of the commercial and entertainment districts of Guiyang. Many of the desk workers and concierge of each of Guiyang's hotels can speak English, so the language barrier is not a problem. They will serve each guest with great hospitality and do everything in their ability to make visitors feel at home. The city of Kaili does not have a large number of star-rated hotels. China Odyssey Tours recommends the four star Dragon Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Guiyang's five-star hotels are all comprehensively-facilitated, and are designed to make guests feel relaxed and refreshed after their daily tours. The facilities in Guiyang's and Kaili's four-star hotels are also well designed and managed. In Guiyang's three-star hotels, visitors also receive wonderful service but with lower prices. The room rates in Guizhou's hotels are within the norms of Chinese hotel prices. Most hotels usually have vacancies on most days.
Most areas of Guizhou are fairly primitive and do not have star-rated hotels. Only small hotels and guest houses can be found. Although lacking in some of the amenities of the larger hotels, these hotels and guests houses are very clean and are family run. The operators of these small hotels do go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and are proud to show off their traditional Chinese hospitality.
