Guilin Rated No.1 of Top 10 City Escapes in China

China’s largest news agency the Xinhua News recently rated Guilin as the No.1 destination of the Top 10 City Escapes in China. The other nine cities are: Lijiang, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Sanya, Xiamen, Lhasa, Kashgar, Pingyao, and Macau.
Guilin City is well-known for its dramatic Karst topography, the picturesque natural skyline, the limpid Li River, and the "global village" Yangshuo. At the nearby Longsheng County, Longji Terraced Rice Fields extends to as far as eyes can reach.
The Xinhua report highlights the bamboo rafting on the Li River, cycling through the countryside, rock climbing, cave adventures, and the local culture events including cormorant fishing, class in calligraphy or cookery, and the outdoor performances "Impression Liu Sanjie".
