Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin is officially open in Guilin. The hotel headquarter Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, a popular Asia-Pacific luxury hotel group, held a grand opening ceremony for its Guilin branch hotel in March 10, 2010.

Overlooking the scenic Li River, Shangri La Hotel, Guilin boasts the city's, even the province's,  largest guestrooms; the largest state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities; the only hotel to have a wedding pagoda; and the first hotel to feature indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Guilin is situated in the north-eastern corner of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southwestern China.
