  China's High Speed Trains Offer
New Travel Option

Not long ago, rail travel in China would not be an option for most foreign tourists because the Chinese trains were considered slow and poor in condition. This situation has begun to change, rather in a high speed way. Traveling at 200-350 km/h (120-220 mph) fast, clean and punctual, China's new high-speed rail network offers a new comfortable and convenient option for traveling in China.

High-speed train in China is known as the Harmony Express (Hexie Hao). There are 3,500 km high-speed railway in operation in China by March 2010, and the new high-speed rail system is expected to expand to 13,000 km with 800 bullet trains by 2013. This will make China a train aficionado's paradise.
