COT-SXT-17: 5 Days Pingyao Extension Tour

Upon your arrival at Datong, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Today, you will enjoy a tour in this old area including Wang Family's Compound, Shuanglin Temple, the Ancient City Wall, Rishengchang Exchange Shop and Ming and Qing Street.

In the morning, drive to Taiyuan (2-hour drive), pay a visit to Qiao Family's Compound en route. Visit Jinci Temple and Twin Pagoda Temple before your transfer to the Taiyuan railway station for your train to Datong. Stay overnight at Taiyuan.

Today be transferred to the railway station for your train to Datong (about 5.5hours drive). After your arrival at Datong, be transferred to your hotel and then visit the Yungang Grottoes.

The tour today will include Nine Dragon Screen, Huayan Temple in the city and Hanging Temple in Hunyuan County. After the tour, be transferred to the railway station for your train to your next destination.
