Located in near Shanghai, the water towns of Tongli, Zhouzuang, and Wuzhen are often referred to as the Venice of the east. Each town has as many canals as it has roads, and traveling through them by water taxi is the most convenient and picturesque way to get around. They are beautiful towns filled with architectural treasures, and beautiful gardens. They should not be missed.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. In the afternoon you will stroll down the Bund, and Nanjing Road.

Day 2

Today you will visit the Shanghai Museum, where you will spend at least two hours marveling at its collections. You will immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of the Jade Buddha Temple, and then have a bird's eye view of the Shanghai from the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. In the evening you will witness an exciting Acrobatic Show tonight.

Day 3

On this morning you will be driven to Suzhou (about 1.5 hours drive). You will arrive in Suzhou in the late morning with your local Shanghai guide and personal driver. Your tour in Suzhou includes: the quiet Lingering Garden and the Pan Gate. Enjoy the gentle breeze while cruise on the Grand Canal. Later visit the No.1 Silk Factory to learn how the pure silk products are made from a small cocoon.

Day 4

In the morning you will be driven to water town of Tongli (20 minute drive from Suzhou). There you will pay a visit to the Garden of Seclusion and Meditations, the Pearl Pagoda, the Triple Bridge, and Ming and Qing Dynasty Street. After your trip to this beautiful village, you will be driven back to Shanghai (1.5 hours).

Day 5

You will be free on this day until your personal guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
