The Bund is located on the west bank of the Huangpu River in the proper Shanghai city, which starts from the outside Baidu Bridge in the south and ends at the road junction of the Xinkaihe Road on the No.2 East Zhongshan Road in the north, approximately 1700 meters. In the early 20 century, the Bund was the political, financial, commercial and cultural center of the occidental in Shanghai. The east side of the Bund is the Huangpu River, in the west side are 52 buildings standing erectly there with diverse architectural styles featuring with Gothic, Roman,Baroque and the combination of East-West, so the architectural complex got the name "the universal architectural complex fair" .the famous architectures among the complex are Dongfeng (east wind) Hotel, the No.12 Igloo in the Bund, Customs Building, Peace Hotel, Bank of China Building, Shanghai Edifice etc. Under the curtain of night, the majestic buildings shining upon the color lights become more resplendent and dazzling. No matter you look far into the distance or roaming under the buildings you will feel that an overwhelmingly rich and magnificent atmosphere is environing you from them. It seems that you are not in the Bund but in a wonderland.
