Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival/Beijing
Transfer via: International flight on your own arrangement
Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel 
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 2 Beijing (B)
Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel
Sites visited: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Longing Pearl Store
Today you will first visit the historic Tiananmen Square, and then the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven and the Pearl Store.
Day 3 Beijing (B)
Accommodations: Jianguo Garden Hotel
Sites visited: Ding Tomb, Sacred Road, Great Wall
Today you will have a vist to the majestic Great Wall (Badaling section), the Ding Tomb of Ming Tombs and Sacred road.
Climb the marvelous Great Wall in Beijing.
The stone statued animals of the Sacred Road were made to protect the emperor afterlife.
Day 4 Beijing / Zhengzhou (B)
Transfer via: Domestic flight arranged by China Odyssey Tours
Accommodations: The red Coral Hotel
Free in the day until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight to Zhenzhou.Upon your arrival at Zhengzhou, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 5 Zhengzhou / Shaolin Temple / Luoyang (B)
Accommodations: Luoyang Peony Hotel
Sites visited: Shaolin Temple, Forest of Dagobas
After breakfast, drive to Dengfen Town (75km, about 1-hour drive), where you will visit Shaolin Temple, enjoy its Forest of Dagobas and the stunning Shaolin Kungfu Performance, and then head for Luoyang (70km and about 1-hour drive), check in the hotel and the rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 6 Luoyang / Zhengzhou (B)
Accommodations: The red Coral Hotel
Sites visited: Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple
The excursion in this old city will bring you to Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple. After the tour, you will be escorted back to Zhengzhou.
You could appreciate the long history Shaolin Kongfu up close.
Zhongyue Temple is the well preserved national temple of Taoism.
Day 7 Zhengzhou / Chongqing / Embark the Yangtze Cruise (B)

Free in the day until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination--Chongqing. Upon your arrival at Chongqing, you will be met and escorted to your ship. Departs Chongqing at 21:00.

Day 10 Yangtze cruise/Yichang/ Departure (B,L)

Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam site this morning. After lunch, you will disembark the ship in Yichang at 13:30. And then be met and transfered to airport to take flight to your next destination.

Meals
Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.
Breakfast - Each breakfast will be served in your hotel. Breakfast selections include both Chinese and Western dishes to meet every diner's taste.
Lunch - Lunches are normally arranged at the Chinese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Chinese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. A complimentary glass of beer or soft drink is served with lunch.
Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Chinese food, China Odyssey Tours suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
