Tips for Huangshan Mountain Winter Tour
Winter at Huangshan generally begins in mid-November. The first snowfall usually arrives in late November or early December and the snow can stay for about 50 days. The last snowfall commonly comes in late March.
Because of the dry weather and the slight temperature difference between the day and night, Huangshan in winter is cold but not freezing.
The hotels are centrally heated at night. Heavy coats are available in the hotel you stay at and are free of charge.
Huangshan Scenic Area is proud of having the beat travel and safety management in China. Whenever it snows, hardworking workers will shovel the snow to make the pathway safe for tourists. There are Inexpensive spiked shoes for sale at roadside stands.

The winter in Guilin is cold and sometimes rainy. There is a strong day-night temperature difference, so you must dress accordingly and bring the proper clothing and rain gear for warmth.
About Li River Cruise in Winter
Normally, the Li River cruise starts from Zhujiang Dock to Yangshuo and takes about 4 hours. While, during the low water period (Usually December and January), you will begin your journey halfway down the Li River from Yangdi to Xingping and then be driven to Yangshuo. However, you will not miss the highlights of the Li River Cruise, for the section from Yangdi to Xingping offers the most striking scenery along the Li River.
The water level of the Li River comes back to normal around February.
Shows and Weather in Kunming
The shows in Kunming and Lijiang ( "Impression Lijiang" in Lijiang and Dynamic Yunnan" in Kunming - optional) will not be affected by the weather. You can still enjoy the intriguing ethnic performances in winter.
