Day 1 Arrive Beijing
Transfer via: International flight on your own arrangement
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.
Day 2 Beijing (B,L)
Sites visited: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven
On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square, followed by a visit to the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Temple of Heaven.

Day 3 Beijing (B,L)
Sites visited: Sacred Road, Ding Tomb, Great Wall
In the morning you will be driven to visit the majestic Great Wall (Badaling section). You will be then be driven to visit the Ding Tomb of Ming Imperial Tombs and the Sacred road.
Day 4 Beijing / Xian (B,L)
Transfer via: China domestic flight on our arrangement
Sites visited: Summer Palace
After breakfast, you will visit the magnificent Summer Palace. You will then be free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arriving, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out to discover what this amazing city has to offer.
Day 5 Xian (B,L)
Sites visited: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Ancient City Walls, Bell Tower
You will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors in the morning. After lunch, you will visit the Ancient City Walls and then Xian's ancient Bell Tower.

Day 6 Xian / Shanghai (B,L)

Sites visited: Big Wild Goose Pagoda
After breakfast, you will tour the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before your flight to Shanghai. Upon arriving in Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Shanghai.
Day 7 Shanghai (B,L)
Sites visited: Shanghai Museum, The Bund, Nanjing Road, Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market
Today, your tour of the incredible city of Shanghai will include a visit to the Shanghai Museum, the Bund and the Nanjing Road, Yu Garden and the Yuyuan Market.

Day 8 Shanghai (B)
Sites visited: Standard Day Single Day Admission Ticket
After breakfast, you will be escorted to the Expo site. You will have one day to explore the World Expo 2010 on your own before you are transferred back to your hotel.
Standard Day Single Day Admission Ticket: Standard day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any day except for peak days.(from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, excluding May 1 to 3, October 1 to 7 and October 25 to 31).
Day 9 Shanghai / Final departure (B)

You will be free until your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

Meals
Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.
Breakfast - Each breakfast will be served in your hotel. Breakfast selections include both Chinese and Western dishes to meet every diner's taste.
Lunch - Lunches are normally arranged at the Chinese restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Chinese dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. A complimentary glass of beer or soft drink is served with lunch.
Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Chinese food, China Odyssey Tours suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
