Trip Overview

Kungfu Show, or the Legend of Kungfu, is a dramatically cultural feast for tourists in Beijing.

Lasting 1.5 hours, it introduces a tale of learning kungfu by blending traditional martial arts with modern dances, a great presentation of kungfu essentials in Chinese culture.

The Lama Temple: also called Yonghe Lamasery, is the largest royal lamasery in Beijing.

Originally used to house court eunuchs, it became the home of Prince Yong Zheng, who became the third emperor of Qing Dynasty, before it was transformed into a Tibetan Buddhist temple.

Today the extensive site is well-maintained. Grand royal architecture seemingly mingled with the mysterious atmosphere of Tibetan Buddhism and imperial legends make the temple worthwhile.

Located 45 miles to the northwest of Beijing, Badaling Great Wall is the best-restored and most imposing section of the Great Wall.

In Chinese, Bada means 'giving access to every direction', suggesting its strategic importance.

Made of large bricks, the Wall has an average height of 24 feet and a width of 19 feet at the bottom, and 16 feet at the top. It is wide enough to allow ten soldiers to march side by side along the wall.

Terracotta Warriors and Horses: discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, it is considered as one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th Century.

Over 8,000 life-size painted terra soldiers and horses, individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation, have been protecting the mausoleum of China’s foremost Emperor Qin Shihuang for over 2,200 years.
