Upon your arrival at Hong Kong, a vibrant metropolis, our local guide will meet and escort you to your hotel.
Today you will explore Hong Kong’s unique blend of Chinese heritage and colonial influences.
First ascend to the city’s highest point, Victoria Peak, to get a spectacular panoramic view of the whole city, and visit the exotic floating community of Aberdeen.
Then enjoy the romantic beach at Repulse Bay and explore the Stanley Market to find some of your favorite souvenirs.Free in the afternoon until being transferred to the airport for your flight to Chengdu, home to the cute giant pandas.
On this day, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by a trip to the Wangjiang Park and a tea house where you can spend some time sitting in it and enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu and Jinli Old Street.
If you're interested in, Sichuan Opera can be an optional night activity for you. You will marvel at the thrilling face changing skill.
You will be free to explore Chengdu until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Xian.
Upon arriving in Xian, one of China's four oldest historical capitals, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out to discover what this ancient city has to offer.
The world-famous Terracotta Warriors is your first stop today. Discovered by a farmer in 1974, the Terra Army was regarded as one of the most significant archaeological finds in 20th Century. You will tour all three Pits and inspect 6,000 incredible life-sized terra soldiers and horses, which is awesome.
In the afternoon, stroll Xian’s Ancient City Walls, the world’s largest city walls, stop at a Jade Gallery and visit the 1350-year-old Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight, a good choice to spend the time is enjoying Tang Dynasty Show which is a not-to-miss option if you're interested in.
Morning sightseeing will take you to the Great Mosque and Muslim Street to have a taste of the exotic Muslim culture. After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Shanghai.
Upon your arrival in Shanghai, your local guide will welcome and escort you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or start to explore this cosmopolitan on your own.
On this day you will visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center to witness how Shanghai became a huge cosmopolitan city from a shabby village, and then take a stroll in the beautiful Yu Garden, a masterpiece of China’s traditional gardens.
Outside the Garden, you will roam through the hustling Yuyuan Market and drop by Jiangnan Silk Workshop to appreciate exquisite silk products.
Evening is free, optional to enjoy the popular Acrobatic Show.
In the morning, you will walk down the Bund, a lively waterfront with many ancient colonial building, stroll along China’s No.1 shopping street, Nanjing Road.
After the tour, you will be escorted to the airport for the flight to Beijing, the capital of China. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel.
An optional acivity which is recommended to you is the thrilling Chinese Kung Fu Show.
No China tour is complete without a visit to the Great Wall. After breakfast, you will leave the downtown to visit the Great Wall (Mutianyu section, round-trip cable car included), the eighth wonder of the world.

It will meet the basic requirements for a comfortable stay, good size and clean guest rooms with AC, TV, hot water, shower and private bathrooms. On-site restaurants with breakfast included and lunch or dinner at your own pick up. A small fitness center or spa can be expected.
Hotel Arrangement for Comfortable Tour Class
Normally you'll stay at formal and large hotels conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby. Quality service, fully furnished rooms, restaurants, room service, fitness center and swimming pool (in very rare cases there is no pool) all together offer an above-average accommodation experience.
Usually good 4-star hotels are adopted or boutique hotels at request. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.
Hotel Arrangement for Deluxe Tour Class
Luxurious hotel with top-notch service and an extensive range of facilities for an excellent accommodation experience. Multiple restaurants on site with extensive menus for choice, room service available 24/7, fitness center and concierge service round out the experience. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.
Normally China Odyssey Tours provides two meals each day: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, Chinese style, or a combination.
When plan your lunches, we consider the balance of food quality, dining environment and tour convenience. We provide a la carte lunch in a local restaurant whenever possible. A la carte meal will give you an opportunity to eat at local restaurant, follow local customs, and taste local dishes. The a la carte allowance would be adequate for a decent meal in our recommended local restaurants, but varies from different restaurants and different cities. However in some remote regions where it’s simply hard to find a non-tourist restaurant, the meal could be arranged at a local tourist restaurant or a local family.
Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in China. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your private guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.
