Itinerary

• Day 1: Beijing, Arrival

  Welcome to China! After clear customs and claim your luggage, you can easily find your private guide who is holding a board with your name and waiting for you at the exit. When confirming everything is in order, the guide will escort you to your hotel. Check in and refresh yourself from jet lag.

• Day 2: City Tour of Beijing

  Your city tour of Beijing today includes the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and Jingshan Park.

  From the top of Jingshan hill at the park, you will get a great view of the splendid royal palace. After the tour, enjoy free time to have dinner on your own.

  Optional: A wonderful Legend of Kung Fu Show will treat you and your kids a great visual feast tonight.

• Day 3: The Great Wall

  Hit the road in the morning to the suburb to visit the Great Wall. To avoid the crowds, the Mutianyu section is chosen for you. Take a cable car up to the wall, do some hiking as you wish. After hiking on the ramparts, take a toboggan down.

  On the way back to the city, make a detour to the Sacred Road.

  Optional: If you are traveling between Jan 15 and March 1, an extra day to enjoy the Longqing Gorge Ice Festival is highly recommended. You can also spend a night at one of the great hotels at the foot of the Great Wall.

• Day 4: Temple of Heaven, Beijing - Xi'an

  Visit a local food market and try some local snacks in the early morning, and then visit the Temple of Heaven.

  Stop at a pearl store and later drive to the railway station for high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, be greeted by your personal local guide and transferred to the hotel.

• Day 5: Terracotta Warriors & Cycling on City Wall

  In the morning, your guide and driver will escort you to visit the Terracotta Warriors out of the city.

  In the afternoon, drive back to the city, make a short stop at a jade shop, and enjoy a tour on the Ancient City Wall by bicycle.

  At night, feast both of your eyes and stomach at the Muslim Street and enjoy the local vibe.

• Day 6: Drum Tower, Xi’an - Chengdu

  Spend the morning firstly to the Drum Tower where you'll have an opportunity to enjoy Chinese folk music and then visit Tang Bo Art Museum where you can take a free calligraphy class.

  In the afternoon, you will be escorted to the railway station for the high-speed train to Chengdu. On arrival, be met and transferred to hotel by your local guide and driver.

• Day 7: Leshan Giant Buddha & Lost Plate Food Tour

  Spend a day out of the city to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. You may climb up to the top of the hill to see the Giant Buddha closely or optionally take a boat ride to have an overall view of it.

  In the late afternoon, drive back to downtown and join in the Lost Plate Food Tour. During which, you'll sample food at over 5 different locations and experience the local life and culture on a tuk-tuk.

• Day 8: Panda Breeding Research Base, Chengdu - Lijiang

  Today you will make some unforgettable memories with adorable pandas and some other lovely animals at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

  After lunch, be transferred to the airport for flight to Lijiang. After arrival, be met and transferred to hotel.

• Day 9: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain & Impression Show

  Today you will be escorted to explore the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with Green Bus and a cable car which can take you up to 4506m above the sea level. From there, you can challenge yourself by hiking up to the summit of 4680m.

  After getting down to the foot of the mountain, enjoy a fantastic Impression Show there and then drive to Baisha Village with the famous ancient Baisha Mural Paintings. Finally, relax in Shuhe old town.

• Day 10: Tiger Leaping Gorge

  Drive about 2.5 hours to Tiger Leaping Gorge, enjoy the majestic scenery of the gorge and the First Bend of the Yangtze River.

  Optional: If you are a hiking lover, two-day hiking along the Tiger Leaping Gorge will be a great choice. It can be arranged as long as your schedule permits.

• Day 11: Old Town of Lijiang, Lijiang - Dali

  Discover the Old Town of Lijiang with stops at the Mansion of Family Mu - a local tribal leader in ancient time, and the Museum of Dongba Culture.

  Later, you will head to Dali old town via a private transfer. The journey with pleasant natural scenery along the road will take around 4 hours.

• Day 12: Cycling Tour in Dali

  After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel lobby and start the cycling tour from the old town. The whole tour will take around 5-6 hours, with around 2 hours' cycling and stops at the Three Pagodas, a traditional residence of Xizhou minority village, and any other possible places wherever you want to take photos or take a break.

  Optional: More challengeable biking tour around Erhai Lake can also be arranged at request. Please check with your travel consultant.

• Day 13: Leisure time, Dali - Kunming

  Enjoy leisure time in the old town and then be transferred to the railway station for the high-speed train to Kunming. On arrival, your local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

• Day 14: Stone Forest

  Today you will spend a half day at the Stone Forest, a maze of Karst Landscape. After that, drive back to the city. En route, make a stop at the Jingxing Bird Market.

• Day 15: Kunming, Departure

  Enjoy some free time until your tour guide meets you and escorts you to the Kunming airport for your flight back home.
