This day will be splendid because of our visit to the Great Wall (Mutianyu Section). One can never say his or her tour in China is complete without a visit to the Great Wall. The Great Wall, said to be the eighth wonder of the world by some, is the pride of China. As a defense work, the Great Wall is by no means a monotonous long stretch of wall. Instead, it consists of different parts with different defensive purposes, including blockhouses, garrison towns, passes, and so on. The Great Wall is unparalleled in the world in its scale of construction as well as for the great quantities of labor and the difficulty, which is a reflection of Chinese ancestors’ toil and intelligence. The Mutianyu Section is the best-preserved legacy of the Ming-dynasty renovations. Take the Mutianyu Cable car up and then start walking on the wall.
Afterwards continue to the Sacred Road, a 7 kilometers and tranquil road connecting all the Ming tombs. Stroll along the road and appreciate the magnificent guard of 12 sets of stone animals and officials. Relax from the Great Wall climbing in this sublime and serene road. Meanwhile, we will have a photo opportunity at the outside famous Olympic Stadium-Birds’ Nest and Swim Center-Water Cube.

Renowned as one of the “Eight Wonders of the World”, it is not just that there are thousands of life-sized figures lined in battle formation; it is the fact that no two of them are alike. All the warriors are distinctive in terms of hairstyle, eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, ears and beard, showing their individual age, position and personality. The Terracotta Warriors are not only a great legacy of his military might, but also a superb paradigm of ancient Chinese sculpture.

Forbidden City is the world’s largest and
best-preserved palace complex, containing 9,999 well-decorated royal rooms that
represent divine perfection in ancient times.
As an emblem of absolute regality, it was the home of 26 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties for 600 years. Grand architecture, exquisite ornaments and imperial treasures rate Forbidden City a highlight of China.

Reputed as the 8th Wonder of the World, the
Great Wall winds its way through mountains, grasslands and deserts for some
4,000 miles across northern China.
But the term 'Great Wall' is something of a misnomer as there is a net of walls of varying ages all designed to provide protection from intruders; a great man-made complex of walls, forts and signal stations.

Terracotta Warriors and Horses: discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, it is considered as one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th Century.
Over 8,000 life-size painted terra soldiers and horses, individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation, have been protecting the mausoleum of China’s foremost Emperor Qin Shihuang for over 2,200 years.

The Ancient City Walls: Original built in
Tang Dynasty and renovated in Ming Dynasty, the Walls are the largest and
best-preserved ancient fortress in the world.
It is worth spending time around the lofty Gate Tower and the outer gateways, as well as walking or cycling along the walls for views looking down on the houses and local life.

The Bund is a lively historic waterfront of Shanghai, a terrific vantage point to view grand colonial architectures built in the 1930s, colorful traffic on the Huangpu River, and the fascinating skyline of ultra-modern Pudong district on the opposite shore.

Jinmao
Tower: 420.5 meters high with 88 floors, the Tower previously claimed the title
of China's highest building and the third tallest in the world.
Located in the center of Shanghai's financial and trade districts by Huangpu River, the Jinmao Tower houses offices, hotels, and has an observation deck on the building's 88th floor which offers an unrivaled bird's eye view of the whole city.

It ranks with the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world.
Built in Sui Dynasty (605-616 AD), 1794 kilometers long, from Beijing to Hangzhou, the Grand Canal has created a bountiful agricultural region and served as a major transportation artery between north and south.
