- Day 1-4 in Xian
- Day 1
Welcome to Xian! When your plane lands in Xian airport, your personal guide is ready to meet and escortyou to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from jetlag.
Day 2In the morning you will visit the incredible Terracotta Warriors. Entombed with China's foremost Emperor Qin Shihuang 2,000 years ago, the 6,000 life-size terra soldiers and horses were sculpted just like the real Qin legions which untied China for the first time. Then come to an Art Ceramics Factory where you could learn to make your own terracotta.
In the afternoon, you will cycle at the Ancient City Wall of Xian, the largest and best-preserved city walls in the world.
In the evening, you could take the optional Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show to round off the day.
Day 3Today comfortable transfer will take you to Huxian County to appreciate the famous farmers painting. You will visit a local family, watch their unique painting themed on rural views, chat about their lives and enjoy a decent homemade lunch.
In the afternoon, you will tour the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which houses numerous Buddhism sutras brought back from India by eminent monk Xuan Zang in 650s. Then visit the Great Mosque and wander through the Muslim Community to have a tast of the exotic Muslim culture and snacks.
Day 4After breakfast, you will see exquisite cultural relics and learn about the brilliant history of Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD) at Hanyang Tombs, the tombs of Emperor Jing and his wife of Han Dynasty.
Then your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon your arrival at Chongqing, be picked up and transferred to the dock to your Yangtze Cruise ship.

Sailing along the Yangtze River, China’s longest river, you will see its amazing natural beauty and real China countryside views. Various onboard entertaining programs such as Taiji Lessons, Chinese Herbal Facial provide you an excellent access to appreciate Chinese culture.
There will be a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, an age-old temple complex perched on cliffs above the river with commanding views. After the excursion, return to the ship, have a rest, dress up and get ready to enjoy the Welcome Dinner Party hosted by the captain in the evening.
Day 6The second full day onboard your cruise ship with a shore excursion to the tranquil waters of Lesser Three Gorges, the most beautiful part of the Yangtze River. After the excursion, you will also sail through the impressive Wu Gorge and western section of Xiling Gorge, a nice chance to take some marvelous photos.
In the evening, you will witness how your ship passes the giant Five-Level Ship Locks.
Day 7Your final morning on the ship with a shore excursion to the world-famous Three Gorges Dam, which is the world’s largest hydro-electric dam with extraordinary sights whatever your views on the project.
You will disembark the ship at a pier in Yichang, where your local guide will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

Terracotta Warriors and Horses: discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, it is considered as one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th Century.
Over 8,000 life-size painted terra soldiers and horses, individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation, have been protecting the mausoleum of China’s foremost Emperor Qin Shihuang for over 2,200 years.


Regarded
by many as a symbol of Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 A.D. in
Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the eminent monk
Xuan Zang. The temple's grounds, gardens, architecture and the pagodas are
beautiful. Many elements that make up the complex, complement each other in
harmony. Strolling through the gardens and admiring exquisite Buddhism
artifacts at the pagoda are unforgettable experiences.


The Ancient City Walls: Original built in
Tang Dynasty and renovated in Ming Dynasty, the Walls are the largest and
best-preserved ancient fortress in the world.
It is worth spending time around the lofty Gate Tower and the outer gateways, as well as walking or cycling along the walls for views looking down on the houses and local life.
