1. What can we see along the Yangtze River?
   

   Along the Yangtze River, you will pass many cities, the Three Gorges and Three Gorges Dam, and different ships may choose to have different shore excursions, but generally speaking, you will have shore excursions to the "Ghost City"-Fengdu, or Wanzhou or Shibaozhai, a one day excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream, and one day at the Three Gorges Dam.
   Please note that the scenic spots and the whole journey may be adjusted due to the weather or the conditions of water.

2. What is the difference between upstream and downstream sailings?
   

   There are not big differences between upstream and downstream cruises except the travel time. Most cruise ships will cast anchors at the same docks and operate similar excursions to Fengdu Ghost City, White Emperor City, Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream. But upstream cruises (5 days) cost one more day than the downstreamcruises (4 days). So, usually, less tourists take the upstream cruises in order to save time.

3. Is there an extra charge for the entertainments on board?
   

   Not all entertainments on board will be charged. Entertainments like live shows, repeated movies (conditional), special lectures and DIY classes are free of charge; but others like karaoke and massage treatment require extra charge.

4. Do I have to take part in the scheduled activities or can I just relax on my own?

   It is completely up to you. You can choose to join in all the scheduled activities or simply relax and enjoy the scenery passing by.

5. What is the newest condition of the Three Gorges Project?

   The Three Gorges Project is the world's largest hydroelectric power plant so far, which was started in 1994 and finished in 2009. All the turbine generator units have commenced generating electricity and it has become a crucial power plant in electricity supply to town and cities of Eastern China. The Three Gorges Dam also plays an essential role in navigation, flood control and drought relief as well as environmental contributions of the Yangtze Basin. The famous Five-stage Ship Locks is one of the most advanced and hugest ship locks in the world and it control the in Yangtze sailing. Now, experiencing the Five-stage Ship Locks becomes a highlight of Yangtze cruises.

6. How long will it take for ships to pass through the Five-level Ship Locks?
   It will take ships approximately a bit more than 3 hours to pass through the Five-level Ship Locks.
