Longji Terrace Field Sunrise Longsheng

To watch the sunrise on the Longji terrace field, to stay overnight in a Longji wooden farmhouse in Tiantou village is necessary.  

Provided you get good weather, thank god! It will be wonderful dawn to watch the sunrise. You should get to the viewpoints at about 6:30-7:00 am. While in winter, the time will be delayed a little.    

There are three mainly viewing points on the Jinkeng terrace field, where you can enjoy different views of the scenery. Viewpoint No. 1 is the best location to view the sunrise, while No. 2 is best for watching the sunset, it is also good for watching the sunrise and No. 3 has the best panorama. Trekking to viewpoints No. 1 and No. 2 from Tiantou village takes about 15 minutes, while round trekking to No. 3 takes about three hours. If necessary, you can take a torch and follow the tour guide to get there.

Of all four seasons, autumn(Sep, Oct, Nov) is the best time to visit the Longji rice terrace and watch the sunrise. Furthermore, the wonderful golden rice fields can be seen during some time of the Season. 

The rising sun is usually veiled by the dense morning mist during the spring and summer, though the terrace field is filling with vitality during that season. It's a little pity.
