Air China Launched Beijing-Newark Direct Service

Planning to visit China from Newark but suffering from a long flight? If this describes you, here is good news! Air China, the national flag carrier in China, started to offer its new direct service between Newark and Beijing from 26 October and on.

The flight takes 13 hours and cuts the travel time at least 3 hours, compared with the previous flight. According to Air China, it operates the nonstop flight CA819 that directly departs from or arrives at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), with its new-generation three-cabin B777-300ER.

This is not the first time that Air China has its own flight between Beijing and Newark, but before the direct service, passengers had to transit via Chicago, Detroit, Washington or Toronto, etc., which dishearteningly prolonged their arrival.

Here is the latest schedule of the direct (CA819) and the old type (CA978, CA7358) flights from Beijing to Newark:

Air China says, by the end of 2015, it will have nonstop services between Beijing and ten gateways in North America, including New York, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Washington Dulles, Honolulu, Vancouver, Montreal and Havana.

The new launch of direct service will greatly enrich your transport options to visit China. With a perfect combination of modernity and history, Beijing is an ideal entrance to start your journey throughout China to explore the footprint left before 2000 years in Xi'an, the enchantment of dramatic change took place in Shanghai, and the natural treasure is known around the world in Guilin, Chengdu and Tibet.

*Air China is the world's largest airline by market capitalization, covering 1,329 destinations in 194 countries. As a member of the Star Alliance, Air China was the official airline partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and was awarded the 4-star rating by Skytrax in 2011.
