Sculptures Erected inside Expo Park
Over 100 beautiful sculptures of various shapes were erected inside the Expo Park for the upcoming of 2010 Expo Shanghai on April 7, 2010.
The sculptures were selected by the Shanghai Expo Organizers from thousands of entries from a dozen countries over the past three years. Each sculpture is an artistic gem and each of them presents one kind of culture and the statues being erected in the Park symbolize the diversity and unity of different civilizations and cultures on the globe.
They were placed at the Expo entrances, besides the pavilions, on public squares, at the banks of the Huangpu River and the main Expo Boulevard. Visitors could enjoy the amazing Expo architecture and cultural performances, and they could also appreciate the sculptures after touring the Expo pavilions.
The completion of the sculpture erection also hints at the approaching of the Shanghai Expo.
