On June 18, 2014, the tourist train Y2067 set off from Xi'an carrying about 600 tourists, marking the official operation of "Chang An Hao Silk Road Tourist Train".
This amazing 11-day train trip starts from Xi'an to Urumuqi via Dunhuang, making stops at Turpan on the return journey. During the trip, tourists can visit major attractions along the Silk Road, such as Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Shan (Echo Sand Mountain), Crescent Moon Spring, Grape Valley, Heavenly Lake of Tianshan Mountain, Kanas Lake, etc.
The distance between each city along the Silk Road is very far. For tourists, the major way of travelling between them is by flight; however, the cost is expensive. The opening of "Chang An Hao Silk Road Tourist Train" makes Silk Road tour much easier and cheaper.
