Excursion Sites of Yangze Cruise

White Emperor City

Situated at the entrance to Qutang Gorge, It's a small town dotted with old temples and numerous gates. There is a museum displaying cultural relics found in this area. Since the city now is an island for the rise of water levels, visitors can have a good view of Qutang Gorge here.

Three Gorges Dam

Being the world's largest power station, Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric dam also planned to increase the shipping capacity of Yangtze and reduce the potential flood downstream. It’s a masterpiece of humans and visitors will be marveled at its giant appearance.

Fengdu Ghost City

Located at the northern end of the Yangzte River, Fengdu Ghost City is a freaky city full of ghost culture and stories of the afterlife. It’s alleged that numerous ghost encounters that happened inside the city are prohibited leaked or reported, which adds more spooky elements to Fengdu’s myth. People in this area believe that good is rewarded with good while evil is paid with a penalty.

Shibaozhai (Stone Treasure Fortress)

Shibaozhai is a spectacular ancient red pagoda built upon a 200-meter-tall rocky hill along the bank of the Yangtze River. Legend has it that the stones from the hill were used to mend the broken sky by the ancestor of humankind, Nvwa. In here you can enjoy intricate murals, delicate sculptures and fantastic views of the Yangtze. Special souvenirs are also available.

Shennong Stream

Shennong Stream is a tributary of the Yangtze River. It's where you disembark from the cruiser and switch to a small boat with others to do shore excursions: picturesque scenery, exotic bird songs, hanging coffins on the cliff, Tujia minority people, old-fashion boat trackers, etc. Fully charge your camera before the tour or you’ll leave with regret!

Lesser Three Gorges

Three separate gorges smaller in size are named Emerald Gorge, Misty Gorge and Dragon Gate Gorge along the chief tributary of the Yangtze River, the Daning River.
