Day 1: Guiyang Arrival
Welcome to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. Your local guide will meet you at the train station, with your chauffeur and private vehicle on standby. Later, a comfortable 30-minute transfer will take you to your hotel for check-in.
Take a leisurely walking tour of Guiyang's charming old town in the late afternoon. Depending on your energy level, you can spend 1 to 3 hours exploring its old lanes and observing the locals' daily life. Rounding off your day, treat yourself to a delicious Guiyang-style dinner paired with a refreshing glass of locally brewed Pale Ale.

Day 2: Guiyang - Leishan, Miao Long-table Banquet
After breakfast, depart on a scenic 2-hour drive to Kaili, the capital of the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture. Kaili Ethnic Museum showcases traditional costumes, silver ornaments, musical instruments, and handicrafts, making it a fascinating gateway to the rich cultural tapestry of southwest China.
This afternoon, travel onward (within one hour) to Baibi Village tucked away in the mountains. Follow your guide to explore the rustic village celebrated for its well-preserved wooden stilt houses before relaxing in the guesthouse's yard for a refreshing sundowner. As evening falls, seize the unique opportunity to delight in a traditional long-table banquet, savoring authentic local flavors and sharing this special meal with welcoming Miao villagers.

Day 3: Miao Villages Discovery With Silver Ornament Making
No group in China rivals the Miao people in their mastery of silverwork. Start by exploring Kongbai Miao Village renowned for its exquisite silver craftsmanship. Here, watch a master silversmith at work, skillfully transforming silver into dazzling ornaments adorned with intricate patterns. Gain insight into the detailed process, then try your hand at this traditional art form.
Later in the day, delve into the vibrant diversity of Miao culture with visits to two unique villages. At Jidao Long-skirt Miao Village, discover the graceful traditions of this sub-group, reflected in their elegant long skirts and preserved wooden architecture. Continue to Datang Short-Skirt Miao Village, where bold short skirts and innovative water-resistant granaries showcase their distinctive identity.

Day 4: Leishan, Local Life Immersion in Baibi Village
If the weather is favorable, enjoy your breakfast with the stunning "sea of clouds." Prepare for a full day of exploration in and around Baibi Village, moving in tune with the local rhythm. As you like, engage in tea-making, learn to do farm work, and visit families to gain a deeper connection with their daily lives and customs in this Miao community. The day concludes with a cozy bonfire party, sharing stories, music, and local traditions.

Day 5: Leishan - Guiyang, Paper-making in Shiqiao Village & Rice Terraces of Gaoyao Village
This morning, travel onward by driving (about 1 hour) to Shiqiao Village of the Miao ethnic group. Following a local master, learn about the traditional paper-making process and even create your own piece as a unique souvenir.
There follows another one-hour drive to Gaoyao Village, embraced by expansive rice terraces spanning over 1,000 acres. When traveling during late May and early June, you may be surprised by its water-filled fields that seem like countless mirrors reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, while in autumn, the terraces will welcome you with the rolling hills covered by endless golden rice.
Closing out the day, transfer back to Guiyang for the night.

Your Guizhou exploration comes to an end. Enjoy free time until your local driver transfers you to the airport for your departure flight or the railway station for your train to the next destination.
