Day 1: Nanjing Arrival
Welcome to Nanjing! As one of China's four ancient capitals and the only historical feudal power center in southern China, it is a captivating city that blends the grandeur of ancient empires and refinement unique to Jiangnan, a rich and warm region along the lower reach of the Yangtze River. Whether you arrive by air or high-speed train, our professional guide will welcome you warmly and in time and transfer you to your downtown hotel in a comfortable vehicle.

Day 2: Historical Mausoleums, Villa, and Royal Garden Lake
Start the tour today by marveling at the Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen, the terminator of China's feudal dynasty and the pioneer of modern China. Nearby, visit Meiling Palace, a large villa built as the residence of the national government chairman Chiang Kai-shek and his wife.
Then, explore the Xiao Mausoleum, where the founder of the Great Ming Dynasty rests. Stroll through its tree-lined Scary Way, pass by stone animals, ministers, and general warriors having guarded the tomb for over 600 years, and listen to the stories of this emperor who came from a poor peasant family. For the rest of the day, take a relaxing walk around Xuanwu Lake, the largest royal garden lake in Chinese history, and skim over scenic temples, pagodas, pavilions, and bridges.

Day 3: Buddhist Temple and Caves, City Wall, Old Quarter and Night Cruise
Qixia Temple, first built in 489 AD, is a well-known Buddhist holy place. Nestle along the Qixia Mountain, cloaked in towering ginkgo trees and maple leaves, with quaint pagodas, Buddhist caves, and status dotted here and there, it's also a famous place to enjoy colorful autumn foliage or forest hiking.
After two to three hours here, return and discover the old part of downtown Nanjing. Visit Zhonghua Gate, part of the ancient city wall, and delve into its ingenious design as a fortification to defend the power seat of the Ming Dynasty. East to the ancient gate, wander the narrow lanes of Laomendong to browse old buildings, antique shops, and internet celebrity snacks. When night falls, get on a wooden boat to take in the night charm of the Qinhuai River.

Day 4: Deeper Exploration of Historical Nanjing
Spend another day digging more of historical Nanjing. In the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, review the darkest chapter in modern Chinese history and reflect on the horrors of war and the evils of militarism. At the Presidential Palace, get a general understanding of 600 years of regime transformation of China. Then, in Nanjing Museum - one of the three most famous national museums in China, marvel at myriads of historical treasures, including a jade burial suite of a prince from 2,000 years ago, and get an in-depth look into China's ancient history and artistic achievements.

Day 5: Niushou Mountain and Departure
As your time in Nanjing comes to a close, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station at the designated time to continue your journey. For those with a spiritual calling, we recommend a late afternoon flight or train, allowing you the opportunity to visit Niushou Mountain. There, you can pilgrim to the revered Buddha's skull relic housed in the Foding Palace, a magnificent structure that beautifully blends traditional Chinese culture with modern architectural design.
