  The discovery of the city's modern façade starts from the Shenzhen Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Museum, featuring a unique architectural style and avant-garde design works. Spend some time here capturing creative photos and appreciating the forward-thinking concepts.

  Continue to OCT Harbor, a waterfront entertainment and leisure complex that combines modern urban vibes with natural beauty. Stroll around its vast spaces, encounter colorful cultural performances, music shows, and street entertainment that kids will enjoy, and walk into the DJI Flagship Store and try out drones.

  Late afternoon, board GBA No.1 or No.2 ship for a captivating harbor cruise and enjoy the fun performances. GBA No.1 cruise offers a quiet, elegant ambiance with spacious lobby and restaurant, while the latter one focuses more on family-friendly and cultural experiences, offering interactive activities, sightseeing routes, and onboard programs highlighting the region's rich history.

• Day 3: Hakka Heritage and Ancient Fortress

  Spend the day discovering some historical gems near Shenzhen.

  In the morning, visit Ping Shan Dawan Shiju, one of China's biggest and most well-preserved Hakka square earthen buildings. The architecture features castle-like dragon house. If you happen to visit during a festival, you might witness residents organizing folk activities full of Hakka atmosphere. For lunch, treat yourself to authentic Hakka flavors.

  In the afternoon, explore the Dapeng Ancient City, a 14^th-century military fortress considered to be the origin of Shenzhen. With an informative introduction from your guide, by visiting it you will get a deeper comprehension of the city's history. Stroll along the low eaves and gray walls, and visit a boutique or two to soak in the idyllic atmosphere.

• Day 4: Shenzhen Science Museum and Dafen Oil Painting Village

  The day of innovation and artistic creation begins at Shenzhen Science Museum, where you can learn about space travel, rockets, and satellites through vivid models and displays, engage in electricity generation with magnets and circuits, experience earthquake simulators, and participate exciting experiments showcasing reactions, optical illusions, and sound waves.

  For the rest of the day, explore Dafen Oil Painting Village. This artistic enclave gathers numerous talented artists and galleries, allowing you to feast your eyes on an array of oil paintings showcasing various styles.
