Day 1:Arrive in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing, China's vibrant capital!
Alight in Beijing and take a taxi or an optional private transfer to your downtown hotel. For the rest of the day, you can stay in your room to recover from jet lag. Or you can walk out for a self-exploration of old alleys, market spaces, or trendy shopping malls in the historical center of old Beijing.

Day 2:Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City & Hutongs With Peking Opera
Begin your day at the iconic Tiananmen Square. Marvel at the imposing monuments around it and soak in the atmosphere of this significant landmark. Next, venture into the majestic Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, and wander through its vast courtyards, opulent halls, and serene gardens, gaining insight into centuries of imperial history. Afterward, delve into the charm of old Beijing with a visit to the former residences and traditional courtyard homes once inhabited by notable historical figures. Taste local culture as you sip a traditional beverage while watching a Peking Opera performance. Stroll through the quaint alleys of Dingfu Street and explore hidden corners of the city where history and daily life intertwine.

Day 3:Great Wall
After breakfast, travel for around two hours to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Take a cable car up and hike along this formidable ancient structure to take in epic views and imagine defending the realm in centuries past.
Late in the afternoon, on the way back to your hotel, view the Olympic Bird Nest and Water Cube from the outside and visit a pearl store nearby.

Day 4:Beijing - Xi'an, Temple of Heaven
Start the day while strolling through a vibrant wet market, where the aroma of freshly steamed buns and sizzling street food fills the air. Mingle with early risers as they browse seasonal produce and traditional snacks, for a glimpse into the city's daily rhythm.
Next, visit the Temple of Heaven, an iconic symbol of imperial Beijing. Explore its harmonious layout and striking architecture, once the site where emperors prayed for good harvests. Witness the park's lively morning scene, where locals practice tai chi, play traditional instruments, or paint calligraphy with water brushes on the stone paths.
Later, transfer to the railway station and board a high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in and a restful evening.

Day 5:Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors
Spend the day exploring the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. Meet the awe-inspiring Terracotta Army, with thousands of life-sized warriors safeguarding Emperor Qin Shi Huang in his afterlife and exquisite Bronze Chariots, half-sized as China's first emperor took over 2,000 years ago.
Then, return to the city and take part in its bustling atmosphere of the Muslim Quarter as you navigate through narrow streets brimming with tantalizing food stalls and charming architecture.

Day 6:Xi'an - Shanghai

Day 7:Shanghai, City Highlights
Recognize Shanghai from the Bund, with colonial buildings of different styles prominently standing along it since the 1920s. Next, visit a tiny and exquisite Chinese Garden - the Yu Garden. Outside it, stroll around the busy bazaar and visit a silk workshop before heading to Fuxing Park, a charming blend of French landscaping and local culture. From there, enjoy a guided walking tour through Bugaoli, a historical neighborhood tucked away among tree-lined lanes. Along the way, sample local snacks and hear stories of old Shanghai life. For the rest of the afternoon, immerse yourself in the myriad collections of the Shanghai Museum.
