Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu
Your Chengdu journey begins at an unhurried pace. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, leaving the rest of the day free to settle in and ease into the city's relaxed rhythm.

Day 2: Pandas, Wenshu Monastery & Teahouse Experience
The morning leads to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, one of China's most beloved conservation centers. It's best done early because that's when the pandas are most active, climbing frames, chewing bamboo, and moving around their enclosures. You'll have time to watch them from a short distance before the crowds arrive and the heat sets in.

The pace gradually turns inward at Wenshu Monastery. Incense drifts through quiet courtyards as monks move between temple halls. A traditional sutra-writing practice offers time to slow down, focusing on each brushstroke and the steady repetition of the text.

Later, arrive at People's Park, a place that reflects Chengdu's laid-back character. Here, you will taste tea in a traditional teahouse alongside locals, many of whom spend hours chatting, playing mahjong, and enjoying the simple pleasures of the day. The experience offers a glimpse into the slower pace that has long defined the city.

Day 3: Dujiangyan & Qingcheng Mountain
A scenic drive brings you to Dujiangyan, home to a remarkable irrigation system built more than 2,000 years ago and still functions today. Ancient waterways continue to shape the landscape with a quiet sense of balance between human ingenuity and nature.

The journey continues onward to Qingcheng Mountain, one of the spiritual birthplaces of Taoism in China. Cedar forests, stone pathways, and hidden temple compounds create an atmosphere of calm that settles naturally over the mountain.

Day 4: Qingcheng Mountain Slow Morning & Departure
The morning is yours to spend at Qingcheng Mountain. You can stay at the hotel, enjoy a cup of tea, or take a gentle walk along nearby paths before transferring back to Chengdu for your departure flight.
