Day 1: Classic Shanghai: Bund, Yu Garden & Shanghai Tower
Begin your day with a hotel pick-up and set out to explore Shanghai’s defining landmarks. Start at The Bund, a grand stretch of historic facades along the Huangpu River, set against the city’s modern skyline. This striking contrast offers an immediate sense of Shanghai’s layered identity. Continue to Yu Garden, a classical garden of pavilions, ponds, and stone bridges, followed by time in the nearby Yuyuan Bazaar, known for traditional architecture, local snacks, and souvenir shops.
The experience then moves into the Former French Concession. A walk from Sinan Road to Xintiandi passes tree-lined streets, historic villas, and well-preserved Shikumen neighborhoods reflecting Shanghai's blend of East and West. A stop at a restored historic building café provides a comfortable break.
Continue to Shanghai Museum East for a focused introduction to Chinese history and art in a modern setting. End the day at Shanghai Tower, ascending to the observation deck for sweeping views across the skyline and the Huangpu River.

Day 2: Zhujiajiao Water Town
The day starts with a short journey to Zhujiajiao, one of the best-preserved water towns near Shanghai. Walk along narrow lanes, cross old stone bridges, and see traditional houses lining the canals, shaping a slower, more intimate rhythm of life. A hand-rowed boat ride offers a closer view of the waterways and daily life in the town.
Return to Shanghai later in the day, with free time to explore independently. This can be used for shopping, visiting a museum or gallery, or simply unwinding at your own pace.
