Itinerary

• Day 1: Welcome to Shanghai

  Start your vacation in Shanghai, the most prosperous metropolis in China. A local tour guide will greet you at the airport and take you to your downtown hotel by private vehicle. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in the hotel or go city exploring at your own pace.

• Day 2: Shanghai, City Sightseeing

  Explore the city from the Bund to take in heritage buildings featuring architectural styles from Neoclassical to Gothic to Baroque. Meanwhile, you can catch Shanghai's impressive modern skyline across the river. Move on to visit Jade Buddha Temple to learn about the Buddhist religion.

• Day 3: Shanghai - Suzhou, Tongli Water Town and Classical Gardens

  Check out the beautiful waterside city of Suzhou on a day trip by high-speed train from Shanghai.

  Your Suzhou tour guide waiting at the railway station will take you to visit the comprehensive Humble Administrator's Garden and the exquisite Lingering Garden. Take in their scenic, peaceful, and graceful atmosphere created by a harmonious mix of pavilions, ponds, bridges, paths, and trees. Embark on a rickshaw to observe the locals going through their daily life, and then get to the water town of Tongli for a boat cruise along the tree-lined canals to explore its remarkable beauty.

  Return to Shanghai and spend the night.

• Day 4: Shanghai - Beijing

  Take the morning at leisure. Shanghai, where glitzy skyscrapers and gigantic shopping complexes coexist with traditional gardens and temples, has much more to offer. You may get a unique view of the modern history of China inside the Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Center, or, if you are lucky to be in Shanghai during the weekend, stroll around People's square to see how Chinese parents trying to match their beloved children with partners.

  Fly to Beijing in the afternoon. Take a private transfer to your hotel for check-in after arrival.

• Day 5: Beijing, Magnificent Forbidden City and Summer Palace

  Start the tour today from Tiananmen Square, which witnessed the founding of the new China and many other important moments in the history of modern China. Facing the square is the well-known Forbidden City, which served as the home of Chinese emperors and their households for over 500 years. The vast complex of a grand wooden palace with ornate decoration will unfold the life of the royal family in ancient China.

  After that, enjoy a leisure walk inside the Summer Palace, the most splendid classical garden in China. Boating on Kunming Lake to take in the stunning views of the surroundings is a fascinating way to conclude the day.

• Day 6: Beijing, Hike on the Great Wall

  Visit the Temple of Heaven with a chance to see Beijingers enjoying morning exercise around. Following it is the highlight of the day - the Great Wall (Mutianyu section), the most iconic landmark of China. You'll ride a cable car up to the watchtower and hike further to enjoy this amazing architectural masterpiece surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

  After the tour return to the hotel for some rest.
