Day 3: Beijing, Great Wall
Among the most famous sections of the Great Wall near Beijing, Jinshanling is the best-preserved and least-repaired. If you want to see the most real face of the Great Wall beaten by hundreds of years of wind and rain while enjoying the most magnificent natural landscape without being pushed by the crowds, Jinshanling is always the best choice.
It will take about 2.5 hours to drive from the downtown of Beijing to Jinshanling Great Wall. After arrival, you can spend around two to three hours to hike along the Great Wall and capture the most stunning pictures.

Day 4: Beijing, Local Life Exploration
Today's journey will begin from the Temple of Heaven, a sacred place where the emperors worship Heaven and pray for good harvest since 1420AD. Now it is a beautiful park where the elderly like to spend their retired time.
To the old Beijingers, Hutong is the vein of the old city and the birthplace of Beijing civilian culture. To know the locals, you can't skip over Hutong. After marveling at the elegant ancient building of the Temple of Heaven and playing Taichi there, you will be guided to explore some Hutongs, visit a Hutong family and have a home-cooking lunch there. You can also learn to cook a dish with the host.
Late afternoon, get to the no-charge Hutong Museum to get a more in-depth understanding of the Hutong in old times and listen to the familiar sound in the memory of old Beijingers.
