Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival, Shanghai

  When you arrive at the airport in Shanghai, your personal tour guide will be there to welcome you and then escort you to the hotel and help you check in. After that, you will have some free time to relax or explore around on your own.

• Day 2: Shanghai, the Bund & Yu Garden

  Start today's tour with a relaxing stroll on the Bund, then visit Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden and the bustling Yuyuan Market outside the garden. After that, continue to Jade Buddha Temple and end the tour at a silk workshop, where you can learn how the small cocoons are transformed into elegant silk.

• Day 3: Zhujiajiao Water Town, Fly to Chengdu

  After breakfast, firstly head to Zhujiajiao to visit the well-preserved ancient town and enjoy the unique water features by boat, and then fly to Chengdu. On arrival, be picked up and transferred to the hotel by your tour guide.

• Day 4: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

  Today, you will enjoy a cheerful morning with the cute pandas at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. In the afternoon, continue to visit Wenshu Temple and Jinli Old Street. While in Wenshu Temple, you can sit down in the tea house for a cup of traditional Chinese tea to take in the slow life of Chengdu.

• Day 5: Fly to Xi'an, Hanyang Tomb & City Wall

  After breakfast, be transferred to the airport for flight to Xi'an. On arrival, a local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to visit the Hanyang Tomb near the airport and the Ancient City Wall in the city center and then drive to the hotel for check-in.

• Day 6: Terracotta Warriors & Muslim Street

  You will be taken to the incredible Terracotta Warriors which are clay soldiers and horses of ancient China in life size and arrayed in battle forms. Later, visit a jade gallery, Muslim Street and Great Mosque in the city to get a general idea of Chinese Muslim's daily life.

• Day 7: Fly to Jinan, City Sightseeing

  After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for flight to Jinan. On arrival, a local guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you will have relaxing sightseeing through the city with Daming Lake, Furong Street and Baotu Spring.

• Day 8: Jinan - Qufu - Tai'an, Confucius' Hometown

  Drive 2 hour to Qufu City to visit Confucius' birthplace. You will visit Family Kong's Mansion, the Temple of Confucius and the Cemetery of Confucius known as "San Kong". They are symbols of Confucius Culture and you can date back to the history and formation of the unique culture in the world. Feel the strong and peaceful cultural atmosphere of Chinese classic philosophy. Continue to Tai'an City for overnight.

• Day 9: Mt. Tai, Tai'an - Beijing

  As a mountain of great historical and cultural significance, Mount Tai is associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal, so it is often regarded as the foremost one of the Five Great Mountains of China. It has been the most important place of worship for at least 3,000 years in Chinese history.

  Today, you will visit Dai Temple and this holy mountain including Puzhao Temple and Bixia Temple. You can take a cable car up to the top of the mountain and enjoy a great panoramic view of the surrounding area. After that, set off to the railway station for high-speed train to Beijing. On arrival, the local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

• Day 10: Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City

  Today, you will go across the Tiananmen Square and then get to the Forbidden City with its exquisite architectures and histories. After getting out from the royal family's house, continue to its summer resort - the Summer Palace.

  At the end of the tour, you can pay a visit to a pearl store where you will find some beautiful and exquisite pearl jewelry.

• Day 11: Temple of Heaven & Great Wall

  Today's tour will start from the Temple of Heaven where you can see and join in the locals to do morning exercise. After that, drive about 1.5 hours to get to Mutianyu section of Great Wall. You can take the round-way cable car up and down. Feel free to hike on the Great Wall and marvel at its grandness. On the way back to downtown, make a stopover outside the Olympic Bird's Nest and Water Cube for a glance and take some photos.

• Day 12: Beijing, Departure

  Your China tour will finish today. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your flight departing from Beijing.
