About This Trip

Day 1: Shanghai, Arrival
Welcome to Shanghai! Upon arrival, your tour guide will greet and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax in the hotel or take your time to explore this city on your own.

Day 2: Shanghai, the Bund & City Highlights
Today, your tour of incredible Shanghai will start from the Shanghai Museum, which possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. Continue to the Bund to appreciate the architectural gallery along the Huangpu River. After that, head to Nanjing Road for a leisure walk. A visit to Xintiandi (including the visit to Wulixiang Museum) to see the old and new Shanghai together. The last stop will be Jade Buddha Temple, named after its exquisite milk-white jade Buddha brought from Myanmar in the 19th century.
Optional: It is recommended to enjoy the awesome acrobatics show in the evening.

Day 3: Suzhou Extension
In the morning, drive to Suzhou for an excursion. You will visit the quiet Lingering Garden, an excellent place to savor the beauty of the classic Chinese garden, and then tour the city's historical landmark - Pan Gate. Next, enjoy the gentle breeze while cruising on the Grand Canal. Later, visit the No.1 Silk Factory to learn how pure silk products are made from a tiny cocoon.
After the tour, be driven back to Shanghai.

Day 4: Shanghai - Xi'an, Shaanxi History Museum
Today, you will have some free time until your private guide escorts you to the airport for the flight to Xi'an - the ancient capital of China and the start of the Silk Road. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After that, you will visit Shaanxi History Museum to view some precious cultural relics of China.

Day 5: Xi'an, Terracotta Warriors
Begin your tour today from the incredible Terracotta Warriors, one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century, which will show you over 6,000 life-size clay statues, followed by a visit to a jade gallery. In the afternoon, you will tour the Ancient City Wall, considered the largest and best-kept city wall in China. Strolling or cycling on the wall is generally highly recommended. Finish today’s tour by visiting the ancient Bell Tower, one of the landmarks of this historic city.

Day 6: Xi'an - Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes
After breakfast, you will be escorted to the railway station for your high-speed train to Luoyang. Upon arrival, the local guide will meet you and transfer you to the majestic Longmen Grottoes, one of the best Buddhist carvings in China. Next, visit the White Horse Temple, China's oldest Buddhist temple, before heading to the hotel for check-in.

Day 7: Dengfeng Extension: Kung Fu School & Shaolin Temple
Today, you will enjoy a visit to Dengfeng for exploring Chinese Kung Fu. Go to a Kung Fu school first, where you will have a chance to watch a fantastic show performed by the students. Continue to Shaolin Temple, regarded as the cradle of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin martial art, where you can learn more about Chinese Kung Fu culture.
After the tour, drive back to Luoyang.

Day 8: Luoyang - Beijing, Hutongs Tour
Today, you will leave for Beijing by taking the high-speed train; before that, have some free time in Luoyang. When arriving in Beijing, your private guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, take a rickshaw to experience the traditional lifestyle of old Beijing in the hutongs, and then take a stroll along Yandai Xie Street.

Day 9: Beijing, City Highlights Tour
In the morning, you will first visit the iconic Tiananmen Square. After walking through Tiananmen Gate, you will enter the splendid Forbidden City. With a history of 600 years, this royal palace continuously delights visitors with imposing pavilions, elegant ornaments, and lively historical stories. In the afternoon, admire the Summer Palace (including a 15-minute boat ride) and Longing Pearl Store.

Walking on the venerable ramparts, you will marvel at the unbelievable constructions and appalling landscape surrounding the wall. End today's tour with a visit to Chang Tomb.
