About This Trip
Start off this three-day trip by taking a bullet train from Shanghai to Huangshan. Hongcun Village will be your initial stop. You can still observe Ming and Qing Anhui architecture there. You will next ride a cable car up Huangshan Mountain, one of China's most stunning mountain ranges. You won't be disappointed by the scenery as you hike through the West Sea Grand Canyon. If you're fortunate, you might witness an amazing sunrise above a sea of clouds.

Day 1: Shanghai - Huangshan - Yixian
Huangshan is famous for the picturesque Yellow Mountain and pastoral villages. A short excursion from the metropolis such as Shanghai will be a good way for relaxation.
Board the train on your own and arrive at the railway station of Huangshan after 3.5 hours. On arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to a comfortable countryside hotel in a peaceful village.

Day 2: Yixian - Huangshan
Early in the morning, wake up to the beautiful music of nature and take a relaxing walk to enjoy the countryside tranquility.
Meet your guide and driver after breakfast and depart for Hongcun Village. Strolling through the village featuring centuries-old stone bridges, time-honored buildings, mirror-like lakes, and gurgling streams, you may feel you are walking in a Chinese painting.
Afterward, take around a one-hour drive to the foot of the Yellow Mountain, take a cable car ascending, and follow your guide to spot the most stunning pictures of the Beihai (North Sea) Scenic Area.

Day 3: Huangshan - Shanghai
Try to get up early in the morning to catch the magnificent sunrise over the Yellow Mountain. If lucky enough, you may also be amazed by the rare scenery of a sea of clouds.
Later on, return to your hotel for breakfast and then start the hike to discover the splendor beauties of the West Sea Grand Canyon. After reaching the bottom of the valley, take the ground track sightseeing car up and then hike to the cable car station and descend the mountain for your returning train to Shanghai.- B L
