Itinerary

Day 1: Taipei - Yehliu Geo Park - Jiufen
Start from your hotel in Taipei, you will be escorted about 1.5 hours to the first stop Yehliu Geopark, one of the must-sees in Taiwan. It is an amazing place full of unique geological rock shapes. You will admire the real powerful work of nature, such as Queen's Head and Fairy's Shoes. In this park, you should avoid wearing high heels.
Afterward, drive to Jiufen. Walking through Jiufen Old Town, you will see unique old buildings and picturesque street. Continue to visit the Golden Waterfall and enjoy an alive night scene of Jiufen. After the tour, you will check into Guest House (mingsu) at night because there is no hotel in Jiufen.

Day 2: Jiufen - Taipei, Departure
After Breakfast, you will be driven to Pingxi District. Take a visit along Pingxi railway and arrive Coal Mine Museum, where you could learn about the life that miners previously led. Continue your tour to Houdong the Cat Town, Old Street and Shifen Waterfall. You may appreciate a fresh and breathtaking rainbow if the weather is fine. Finally, releasing sky lanterns would be a unique experience for you. Make a wish, write it on the lantern and then send it off to the sky. When the tour ends, you will be escorted back to Taipei.
