Day 1: Taipei, Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, your private guide will meet you and accompany you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to recover from your journey.

Day 2: National Palace Museum & Taipei 101
Start your city tour from the National Palace Museum, a treasure trove of Chinese artifacts and artworks, and Bao'an Temple that boasts excellent examples of traditional decorative arts. Then visit Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall where you can learn about the former president of the Republic of China. Enjoy a stunning view of the city from Taipei 101, once the world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010.

Day 3: Taipei - Hualien
Spend a leisure morning at Yehliu National Geopark, which lies in one of the most remarkable geological coastal areas in northern Taiwan and is well-known for its rocky promontory overlooking the bay. In the afternoon, take a train to Hualien and visit a night market after arrival.

Day 4: Hualien - Taipei
Today, proceed to visit Taroko National Park. En route, catch a fantastic view of the Pacific at Qingshui Cliff. At Taroko National Park, you will take a light hike along the Shakadang trail to admire the splendid scenery. Later in the afternoon, take a 2.5 hours' train back to Taipei.

Day 5: Taipei - Sun Moon Lake
Drive about 3.5 hours to central Taiwan for a scenic tour of Sun Moon Lake, the island's largest lake surrounded by forested mountains. You will take a boat ride on the mesmerizing lake and visit Wenwu Temple that sits on the bank of the lake. The temple is dedicated to Guan Gong and Yue Fei who are considered Chinese gods of war, and Confucius. It is a popular place for students to pray for good grades.

Day 6: Sun Moon Lake - Taipei
Take a relaxing ride along the tree-lined biking path to enjoy the fresh air in the forest, and then return to Taipei. En route, stop to visit Hugo Assam Tea Farm, an ideal place to sample some of the island's finest teas including the famous "Taiwan 18" which is only grown in the special climate of this area.
