About This Trip
Spend nine days discovering Taiwan's best attractions. The tour begins and ends in Taipei, and your first destination is the gorgeous Sun Moon Lake. Then you'll go to Tainan's famous Chikan Tower and Kaohsiung's busy Liuhe Night Market. Continue to Kenting National Park, where you can refresh with the stunning seaside scenery and see the iconic Eluanbi Lighthouse. Before visiting the Taroko National Park in Hualien, visit the Taitung Forest Park. Finally, you'll tour the landmarks of Taipei, such as the National Palace Museum, Baoan Temple, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, and Taipei 101.

Day 1: Taipei, Arrival
Welcome to Taiwan! Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, your private guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax.

Day 2: Taipei - Sun Moon Lake
After getting over your jet-lag, drive about 3.5 hours to central Taiwan for a scenic tour of Sun Moon Lake, the largest natural lake in Taiwan. Take a boat riding on the lake to visit surrounding sight-seeing spots and listen to the historic legends about it. Later on, visit Wenwu Temple nearby which is devoted to Guan Gong, Confucius and Yue Fei. Here you can enjoy a whole scene of Sun Moon Lake.

Day 3: Sun Moon Lake - Tainan - Kaohsiung
After breakfast, it takes about 2.5 hours to Tainan to visit Chikan Tower which was a Dutch outpost built in 1653 - a must-see historical site in Taiwan, and Chimei Museum where you will appreciate a great collection of artworks and musical instruments. Afterward, proceed to Kaohsiung by another hour's drive and check in the hotel. In the evening, wander through Liuhe Night Market to taste the various delicious local food.

Day 4: Kaohsiung - Kenting
Kick start your day with 2 hours' drive to Kenting National Park, Taiwan's oldest and southernmost national park, and lose yourself in spectacular coastal view and tropical forests. After that, spend some time to see Eluanbi Lighthouse built between the Pacific Ocean and the Taiwan Strait, also known as "The Light of East Asia" for its powerful intensity, and take a walk in unique Maobitou scenic coastal area. Late of the day, soak up the relaxing ambiance of Kenting Street.

Day 5: Kenting - Taitung
Enjoy the bright sunshine, golden beach and blue water at Nanwan Beach before driving forward to Taitung. En route, stop at Duoliang Train Station (2 hours' drive) and Xiaoyeliu after another 1 hour to refresh yourself through overlooking the vast Pacific. After arrival at Taitung, pay a visit to Taitung Forest Park which is blessed with a variety of tropical plants and serene lakes.

Day 6: Taitung - Hualien
Set off to Hualien in the morning, enjoy the Green Road of Paradise - Mr. Brown Avenue (1.5-hour drive), a perfect route for cycling and walking with peaceful rice fields on both sides, and the Chishang Lunchbox Museum, also serves as a restaurant to selling lunch boxes. After lunch, continue to Lin Tian Shan Old Logging Village (2-hour drive) which displays old logging equipment and railway. Once you get to Hualien, your guide will help you check in the hotel. Later make your way to the Night Market in Hualien.

Day 7: Hualien - Taipei
Coupled with quiet sweeping of the waves, you can listen to the whisper of the Pacific, and take a romantic stroll at Qixingtan, and you may be impressed by the Pacific coastline and blue sky at Qingshui Cliff, one of the Eight Wonders of Taiwan. Next, head to Taroko National Park to marvel at the high mountain peaks and steep gorges, together with numerous natural wonders and diverse plants and animals, unveil the mysterious Shakadang Trail and pass through Swallow Grotto to meet with the sighs of the Liwu River. After the tour, whizz to Taipei with a 2.5-hour train. On arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

Day 8: Taipei City Highlights
Begin your city tour from National Palace Museum, home to the world's largest collection of ancient Chinese artifacts which span China's 5000-year history. After that, worship to Bao'an Temple, well-known for its exquisite structure and Taiwanese folk religion festivals, and visit the historical Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall built in memory of the former President of the Republic of China. Later indulge in the breathtaking bird view from the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan - Taipei 101.
