On your arrival at Shanghai Pudong airport, your tour guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel.
Today you'll explore some essential highlights of Shanghai. Firstly, visit the French Concession, which will bring you back to Shanghai in the 1930s, followed by a silk factory where you'll see how silk is made. In the afternoon, you will visit the Yu Garden and the bustling Yuyuan Market, before enjoying some leisure time at Xintiandi and visit the Wulixiang Museum there.

After breakfast, you will walk down the Bund to appreciate the architectural gallery there. And then get a bird's eye view of Shanghai from the Shanghai World Financial Center.
After, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Chengdu, the home town of giant panda. Your Chengdu tour guide will pick up you at the airport and escort you to hotel for check-in. The rest day is free for you to explore this leisure city on your own.
On this day, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by a trip to the Wangjiang Park and a tea house where you can spend some time sitting in it and enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu and Jinli Old Street. You will be free to pursue your personal activities until being escorted to the airport for your flight to Lhasa, capital of the mysterious Tibet.
Upon your arrival at Gonggar Airport, you will be welcomed and accompanied to your hotel by your local guide (around 1.5 hours' drive). For the remainder day, you’re advised to relax at your hotel to adapt to the high altitude.
The overwhelming Potala Palace is your first stop. As the symbol of Tibet, the Palace was built in 641 AD and was a winter palace of Dalai Lama who is Tibet’s pope. Impressive Tibetan architecture, huge golden Buddha statues, red-robed lamas and devoted pilgrims all make it a must-visit.
Later, you will visit the age-old Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet, and walk the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street.

Free in the day until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Xian, the historical capital of 12 dynasties. Upon your arrival, your local guide will meet you and guide you to your hotel.Rest of the day is yours to relax.
You will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors in the morning. These clay statues of soldiers, horses and chariots all standing in battle formation were commissioned by the emperor of the Qin dynasty as part of his mausoleum. On this day you will be free until being escorted to the airport for your flight to Beijing, the capital of China.
Upon your arrival at the Beijing airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Then you will visit the Hutongs (Nanluoguxiang section), Confucian Temple and Guozijian.
On this day you will first visit Tiananmen Square followed by the magnificent Forbidden City, the world's largest palace complex with 9,999 buildings once the house for emeprors in Ming and Qing dynasties since 1420. In the afternoon you will marvel at the incredible Temple of Heaven, a place once for imperial rituals and now is a leisure park to feel the local life atmosphere. And pay a visit to the Longing Pearl Store.
Tonight, an optional show for you is the Chinese Kung Fu Show which may bring you the charm of Chinese martial art.
Today’s sightseeing begins with the world-famous Great Wall (Mutianyu Section). Reputed as the 8th Wonder of the World, the Wall was first built over 2,000 years ago as a complicated defensive structure for ancient China. divine beasts and officers. It will meet the basic requirements for a comfortable stay, good size and clean guest rooms with AC, TV, hot water, shower and private bathrooms. On-site restaurants with breakfast included and lunch or dinner at your own pick up. A small fitness center or spa can be expected.
Hotel Arrangement for Comfortable Tour Class
Normally you'll stay at formal and large hotels conveniently located with shopping, dining and entertainment facilities nearby. Quality service, fully furnished rooms, restaurants, room service, fitness center and swimming pool (in very rare cases there is no pool) all together offer an above-average accommodation experience.
Usually good 4-star hotels are adopted or boutique hotels at request. Hotels best available will be arranged if no qualified choice, e.g. in remote area.
Hotel Arrangement for Deluxe Tour Class
Luxurious hotel with top-notch service and an extensive range of facilities for an excellent accommodation experience. Normally China Odyssey Tours provides two meals each day: Breakfast and Lunch. You will have the freedom to make your own dinner choice.
It is normally served at the hotel where you stay. Depending on the hotel, the breakfast would be in western style, Chinese style, or a combination.
When plan your lunches, we consider the balance of food quality, dining environment and tour convenience. We provide a la carte lunch in a local restaurant whenever possible. A la carte meal will give you an opportunity to eat at local restaurant, follow local customs, and taste local dishes. The a la carte allowance would be adequate for a decent meal in our recommended local restaurants, but varies from different restaurants and different cities. However in some remote regions where it’s simply hard to find a non-tourist restaurant, the meal could be arranged at a local tourist restaurant or a local family.
Dinners will not be included in your meal plan unless you have that requirement. Enjoying the local food could be one of your best experiences in China. This is why we provide you this flexibility of food choice. Your private guide will always give you good suggestions based on your preferences.
