About This Trip
In 13 days, this tour takes you to China's top historical and cultural attractions. You'll see the magnificent Forbidden City, the awe-inspiring Great Wall, legendary Terracotta Warriors, lovely giant pandas, and the bustling Bund. Day 1: Beijing, Arrival
Welcome to China! When your flight lands in Beijing, your local guide and driver will meet you at the customs exit, holding a placard with your name. You will be escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to recover from jet lag or to ramble around on your own.

Day 2: Beijing, City Highlights Tour
On this day, you will first visit Tiananmen Square which was once the largest square in the world. Followed by the magnificent Forbidden City. With a history of 600 years, this royal palace continuous delight visitors with imposing pavilions, elegant ornaments and lively historic stories.
In the afternoon, visit Jingshan Park and climb up to the artificial Coal Hill to enjoy the full view of the grand royal building complex of the Forbidden City. After that, you will enjoy a rickshaw tour to explore hutongs to get in touch with the local lifestyle.

Day 3: Beijing, Great Wall Tour
Today's sightseeing begins with the world-famous Great Wall (Mutianyu Section). Reputed as the 8th Wonder of the World, the Great Wall was first built over 2,000 years ago as a complicated defensive structure for ancient China. Later, you will also have a leisure stroll along the Sacred Road which is lined with divine beasts and officers, before going back to the downtown.

Day 4: Temple of Heaven, Beijing - Xi'an
Explore a morning food market to know the local's life. Next, you will visit the Temple of Heaven where the olds do morning exercises every day. After the tour, be transferred to the railway station for a high-speed rail journey to Xi'an, which is a perfect way to experience the beautiful landscapes.
Upon arriving in Xi'an, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or step out to discover what this amazing city has offered.

Day 5: Xi'an, Terracotta Warriors & Ancient City Wall
You will visit the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors. These clay statues of soldiers, horses and chariots all standing in battle formation were commissioned by the emperor of the Qin dynasty as part of his mausoleum. Continue to a jade gallery. After lunch, you will visit the Ancient City Wall, the largest ancient wall in the world.
Optional: Tonight, you can consider choosing Tang Dynasty Show as the optional entertainment if you're interested in it.

Day 6: Xi'an - Lhasa
You will be free to pursue your personal activities until being escorted to the airport for your flight to Lhasa, capital of the mysterious Tibet. Upon your arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport, you will be welcomed and accompanied to your hotel by your local guide (around 1.5 hours' drive). For the remainder of the day, you're advised to relax at your hotel to adapt to the high altitude.

Day 7: Lhasa, Potala Palace & Jokhang Temple
The overwhelming Potala Palace is your first stop today. As the symbol of Tibet, the palace was built in 641 A.D. and was a winter palace of Dalai Lama who is Tibet's pope. Impressive Tibetan architecture, huge golden Buddha statues, red-robed lamas and devoted pilgrims all make it a must-visit.
Later, you will visit the age-old Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet, and walk the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street.

Day 8: Lhasa, City Temple Tour
After breakfast, you will tour the charming Norbulingka Park, which is known as "the Summer Palace of Tibet", and then come to Drepung Monastery, an ancient temple that once housed 10,000 monks in its heyday.
Your tour ends at Sera Monastery. Built in 1419, the monastery is one of the three largest monasteries in Tibet and is famous for its Buddhism Scriptures Debates.

Day 9: Lhasa - Chengdu
Be free in the day until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight to Chengdu. Upon arriving in Chengdu, home to the lovely pandas, your personal guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax.
Optional: Enjoy a Sichuan Opera and be amazing at the unique face changing skill is highly recommended for you tonight.

Day 10: Chengdu, Giant Panda
On this day, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by a trip to the Wenshu Temple. Later, spend some time sitting in a tea house where you can enjoy a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu before enjoying some leisure time along the Jinli Old Street.

Day 11: Chengdu - Shanghai
Spend your free time in the morning before flying to Shanghai, a metropolitan with a combination of the west and the east.
Optional: You could take a private Sichuan Cuisine Cooking Class for three or six dishes (around 4 to 5 hours)- B

Day 12: Shanghai, Shanghai History Tour
Get ready for the elegant Yu Garden and the busy Yuyuan Market where you can a glimpse of local people's life; followed by a silk workshop. Walk down the Bund along the Huangpu River and appreciate the architectural gallery there.
Enjoy your leisurely time in the afternoon.
